3.5 License Control in Emergencies 3.5.1 Introduction In emergencies, limitations posed by licensed capacity can be removed so that burst network traffic can be processed.
3.5.2 License Control Mechanism Once the emergency switch is turned on, the ECO6910 operates with the maximum capacity allowed by hardware rather than being confined to the li censed limits. However, the function configurations remain unchanged. Once the emergency switch is turned on, the ECO6910 enters the emergency license state. l
An ECO6910 of the R version can enter the emergency license state for three times at most and remain in that state for up to seven days each time. The emergency switch cannot be turned on for the ECO6910 that has entered the emergency license state for three times.
l
If an ECO6910 of the R version is upgraded, the number of times the ECO6910 enters the emergency license state is automatically updated to three.
l
After the ECO6910 exits the emergency license state, the original license configurations apply.
l
When a seven-day period of the emergency license state elapses, the ECO6910 automatically turns off the emergency switch.
l
An ECO6910 in the emergency license state reports EVT-22812 EVT-22812 Operation of Maximum License Capacity every day, informing the number of remaining days in the current emergency license state.
l
Activation of new licenses, allocation of license resource items, and version upgrades are not allowed in the emergency license state.
