Technical Description The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a CD Radio Boombox that can accept audio sources including CD, FM Tuner, analog line-in, USB flash drive and Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth module in the EUT is operating in the frequency range from 2402MHz to 2480MHz (79 channels with 1MHz channel spacing). The EUT contains another USB port (for 5V DC changing purpose only). The EUT is powered by 120VAC and/or 9VDC (6 x size “C” batteries). 2.4GHz Bluetooth Module: Modulation Type: GFSK Antenna Type: Integral, Internal (PCB Trace) Frequency Range: 2402MHz - 2480MHz, 1MHz channel spacing, 79 channels Nominal field strength is 100.6dBµV/m @ 3m Production Tolerance of field strength is +/- 3dB Antenna gain is 0dBi
The functions of main ICs are mentioned below. 1. Bluetooth module F-6288 (U1): (U 1): 1) BK8000L (U105) acts as the 2.4GHz radio core of Bluetooth module F-6288 (U1) which is integrating with audio DSP and CODEC. 2) The 26MHz crystal (X3) provides system clock for BK8000L (U105). 3) 25F04 (U104) is 4Mbit serial flash memory for parameter storage of U105. 4) C9, C10 act as antenna matching network. 2. FM Radio portion: 1) U5 (RDA5807) acts as digital FM radio demodulator. 2) X2 (32.768kHz) provides clock for the U5. 3) IC2 (24C02) is 2kbit serial flash memory for parameter storage of (U5). 3. MCU module: 1) U2 (M5677) acts as MCU core of the product. 2) X1 (32.768kHz) acts as clock for the MCU core (U2). 3) LCD1 is the LCD display while SW1-SW13 are key switches. 4) U3 (25F20) is 2Mbit serial flash memory for parameter storage of U2. 5) U7 (CD5888) is motor drivers for CD mechanism. 4. Audio portion: 1) U4 (SC2134) is volume control, equalization and audio sources selector IC 2) IC1 (TA8227) is 3W x2 power amplifier driving stereo loudspeakers. 5. Power Supply portion: 1) U8 (LM1117/3V3) acts as 3.3VDC power supply. 2) U10 (F7805) acts as 5VDC power supply for CD mechanism. 3) U6 (AX3811) acts as 5VDC power supply for USB charging port.
