STAGE - 1 The PP Yarn Sediment Filter The w at er first pa sses through the Sediment filter (plea se refer to the diag ram o n page 10) which incorporates a Poly-Propylene yarn wound type depth filter cartridge w hich stra ins out physical impurities present in the w at er, such as dust, dirt a nd m ud.
STAGE - 2 Activated Carbon Block (Chlorine and Organic Filter) In this sta ge , the w at er passes throug h specia lly treat ed, ba cteriostat ic Activat ed C a r b o n B l o c k w h i ch a d s o r b s c o lo u r , o d o u r, o r g a n i c im p u r i t i e s a n d c h l o r i n e . Its Bacteriostatic property helps preventing bacterial growth on activated carbon and removes chlorination by-products (carcinogens), pesticides, herbicides and lead from w a te r as per NSF -53 sta nd a rds. Besides its state-of-the-art decalcification system minimises scale formation in the system an d e nsures reliable ope ration.

Step-by-step guide to safe drinking water
1 . Fi t t h e pl ug i n t o a 3 - p in p o w e r socket and ensure that the socket is ea sily a ccessible.
2. To sw i t ch o n t h e u n i t , p r e ss t h e ‘Pow er’ sw itch. The red light w ill glow for 6 seconds indicating that the pow er is on. Soon th e yellow light w ill glow for 26 seconds indicating it’s processing the water.
3 . Wh e n t h e g r e e n l ig h t g lo w s yo u ’ ll hear 3 beeps indicating that the unit is ready t o deliver clear, saf e drinking water.
4. To let the w ater flow, press the ‘Wat er’ ( ) swit ch ge nt ly.
5. While you fill your glass you can opt f or a pleasant musical tune b y pressing ‘Music’ ( ) swit ch.

1. The key word is cleanliness Dirt a nd small insects have a w ay o f creeping into any a ppliance. Keep the a rea a round your Aq uag uard i-Nova clean and dry. Wipe the Aquaguard i-Nova w ith a soft cloth once in a w hile. Keep the spout clean and closed w ith t he cap provided.
2. M aintaining your filters by periodic cleaning To e nsure th a t yo ur sediment filter is long -lasting you must have it thoroughly cleaned regularly by ba ck flushing th e sam e. Go th rough t he Instructions given under the lid of your Aq uag uard i-Nova .

Plug in the 3-pin plug into the socket, switch On the unit a nd start using it.
3. Servicing the Activated Carbon Block To e nsure tha t yo ur Activa te d Carb on Block w orks eff ectively, insist o n ha ving it tho rough ly cleaned by our Serviceman at every visit. Also do remember to have your sediment filter and Activated Carbon Block replaced at least every 12 mo nt hs (or w hen IQA a lerts) by o ur Servicema n or refer to steps as shown on page 15.

4. Unscrew the filter caps.
5. The cartridge can b e removed by pulling out th e eye of t he top cap of cartridge.
6. Clean a nd replace the filters by reversing the operation.

How long and where should one store the water? Wat er from Aqua gua rd i-Nova should be sto red in a coo l, clea n place, preferab ly in steel or glass containers. For hygienic reasons, it’s preferab le to chan ge the sto red w at er w ithin 2 da ys, especially during summers and monsoon s.

Is UV (Ultra Violet) light dangerous and is drinking UV treated water harmful? Direct exposure of strong doses of UV light at a close range is dangero us.
