TWO Types of warehouse Bonded and unbounded Once the cargo both domestic and Exim comes is in the icd it is placed in unbounded area which is then verified by custom officials and placed in the bonded area
Auto logistics operation
Specially designed car carrying containers with side doors are transported Mundra port to icd at patli where only ramps for cars are fitted fitted inside the container.
Containers with ramps are taken to manesar near gurgoan where packing of cars in containers is done. once the cars are packed, they are again transported via road to ICD at patli where by rail route they are transported to Mundra port. Cars are normally carried in forty foot containers co ntainers which can accommodate five cars Cost per container = Rs. 100,000 [20000 per car] which includes total transit charge, port charge and ICD charge Expenditure on bringing ramp fitted co ntainers back from Mundra to patli = Rs. 15,000 Profit per container = Rs. 25,000
