Dance positions will be explained in the descriptions of the figures as necessary. The important thing to remember in any position with a handhold is to maintain the “connection”. This is so the dancers can move together, so to speak, even when they are apart and accomplishing different foot patterns. After some introduction to cha-cha-cha, the teacher will post some papers containing all the different basic steps of cha-cha-cha with their step patterns and counting. (After the brief introduction, the teacher will ask the following questions about the activity previously.) 1. How do you feel about the activity? Were you able to express and introduce yourself through movements? 2. What do you think should one possessed to be able, to perform the different movements you and your classmates performed? Why?
