In the years 2004-5 I qualified as a Psychotherapist and also studied Kundalini & Usui Reiki to master !eacher !eacher le"el# $y !herapy %ork is usually %ith %omen %ho ha"e suffered ause from men either in the home or on the streets# !his %ould co"er $ental 'use( Rape( )e*ual 'use and +omestic ,iolence# ,iolence# I had %orked in these areas in the ./0s-.0s ./0s-.0s so had a stron1 understandin1 of ho% these e*periences affected %omen in deeper %ays than first thou1ht# $any of the %omens e*periences %ere akin to P!)+ in their lon1 term effects# I found that usin1 Reiki in my practice %as ha"in1 eneficial effects %hich aided the healin1 process as %ell as rin1in1 a deeper understandin1 to the %omen affected( as to ho% the ody stores ne1ati"e ener1y and pain#

'fter readin1 a %onderful ook y Keith +o%man called )kydancer( I took a 1reat interest in uddhist +akinis especially one named 3eshe !so1yel %ho had suffered ause from men e"er since she %as a child and ho% she had o"ercome that pain and turned it into a method of healin1 others#

Working With the Chakras of Absed C!ients +akini Reiki should e used alon1side ounsellin1 and !herapy in order for it to %ork as intended# 'll our e*periences are stored in our chakra system %hich contains a series of se"en maor ener1y centres alon1 our spinal channel# 6ach chakra contains a different part of our memory and e*periences# hakras are spiritual or1ans that can  e likened to our physical or1ans 7 heart( lun1s( kidneys etc# If they are functionin1  properly and in harmony %ith each other all our life e*periences %ill e %ell  alanced# 8hen our chakras ecome dama1ed or locked( they cannot do much to help us and %ill thro% our %hole system out of alance and our 9%orld %ill reflect this# hakras ecome locked ecause they are storin1 our unresol"ed e*periences( emotions or memories# $ost !herapy sessions last for :0 minutes ut are kno%n as the 950 $inute ;our# !he e*tra 0 minutes of the hour are spent meetin1 and 1reetin1 the client and makin1 future appointments# I %ould therefore ad"ise !herapists to ook 2 hour appointments to allo% for rela*ed discussion and +akini Reiki !herapy# !his can of course e tailored to each indi"idual clients needs and the chakras that need the most attention# 8hen relatin1 to the chakras I do not use uddhist or ;indu terminolo1y as this %ould confuse the already distressed client( and possily alienate them from the  process# o"e and ompassion come into play# 6"entually the client %ould ha"e to look eyond the eha"iour of the ausi"e person to a hi1her  perspecti"e# !his cannot e forced upon anyone as %e all ha"e our o%n rate of healin1 and for1i"eness# 8hen %e seek happiness & compassion for oursel"es it %ill al%ays elude us( %hen you seek it for others( then %e %ill then find it for oursel"es# 's +akini Reiki allo%s a client to reco"er from their trauma and 1ro% in consciousness they %ill e1in to understand ho% and %hy situations are created for their learnin1 process( and ho% est to react to those situations#
