Through research of the anatomy and physiology and all types of singers, she found out that there is an underlying structure behind the sounds that a human can do! This %as divided into four different modes that cover all the sounds the human voice can produce! &he %orked also %ith a range of professional singers to try out the techni1ues, %hen they %anted to produce specific sounds or had problems %ith their voice! The %ork formed the basis for the techni1ues Complete Vocal Institute currently uses and Cathrine &adolin has continued the voice research together %ith physicians and acousticians! Cathrine &adolin has been invited to speak in the voice conferences in 7urope and B&@ since DD?! Their first oint research study %as published in February *++9 on auditive research, %here speech therapists had to determine %hich voice modes %as used by listening to song samples! @fter that they cooperated to sho% the laryngeal gestures in the various effects e!g! distortion, gro%l, grunt, creaks and creaking, rattle, &cream, vocal breaks, etc! &ince then they have %orked %ith visual detection, %here test subects had to determine the different singing modes %ithout hearing the sound, but by looking at photos and videos of the laryn5 during singing, recorded %ith an endoscope camera!
