I’m Lily and I’m a Guide. That’s like a Scout, but it’s just for girls. Our uniform is different and we’ve got different badges. I’m doing my Animal Active badge. I go to the stables on Saturday morning with other Guides. We help to clean the stables. It’s hard work, but we work together. We can also feed the horses. My favourite horse is a small brown horse called Lucy.
I’m Jacob. I love being a Scout because I like learning new things. I’m doing my circus skills badge. It’s lots of fun. I’m learning to juggle. I practise every day after school, but I can’t practise in my bedroom!

Orienteering is fun, but you have to be prepared. You need a map and a compass. Practise reading a map before you start! Orienteering is an activity that you do in the countryside. You read a map and then you follow the route on the map. You can walk or run. If you want to, you can race in teams.
Chorus:
I can’t wait for the weekend. When is it the weekend? I’ve got so many plans. I can’t wait for the 1 ? . When is it the weekend?
Key
On school days I ask, “Can I 2 ? my friends?” “Can I read a magazine to find out the latest trends?” I’m hungry but I have to ask, “Can I make a 3 ? ?” I ask, “Can I do this” and “Can I do that?”
The key
It’s hard being young, you have to ask all the time, “Can I 4 ? computer games?” “Can I go online?” “Can I watch a DVD?” “Can I 5 ? sport?” “Yes, you 6 ? ,” they say, “but after you do your chores.”
Chorus
Look around you. Are there any rivers, lakes or buildings? Landmarks like these help you to know where you are. There are symbols on the map which show the landmarks. If you don’t know what the symbols mean, look at the key. Each landmark is a symbol on the key.
