Right now is a critical moment for Blockchain Technology - it is entering a crucial phase in its development and adoption. In the last twelve months this technology has seen a dramatic increase in visibility and experienced both the good and bad sides of the limelight: rising interest among corporations and investors, alongside more regulatory scrutiny, and uncertainty. It’s at this time, more than ever before, that the global community is needed to ensure a prosperous and well-balanced future for the technology. Keynote has been created to draw this community together, now ranging from enthusiasts to financial institutions, and to provide an open and hard-hitting forum for moving the conversation forward. Having been a part of the Bitcoin and Blockchain universe for several years, I’m truly excited about where these developments are going to take us in the coming years. At a time when the UK is gearing up to become the European hub for blockchain, it makes perfect sense to host a conference of this kind, to outline and define the technology that will effect and shape the future, and encourage people and organisations to begin thinking about their next steps. I look forward to supporting people and local organisations in their goals to take steps now to ensure the future success of this amazing technology.
Bitcoin and Blockchain are still in a nascent stage globally, and the UK is one of the first countries to actively take the next step and encourage its use. The UK plays a lead role in fostering innovation, and encouraging new processes and methods to build better financial technology; I believe the UK will set the stage for Blockchain adoption across Europe. It represents a massive value add for companies in Europe and globally, with a multi-billion-dollar new industry evolving over the next year or so alone. I see huge potential and growth in the FinTech space in the UK. The changes we are seeing in the Blockchain space are making waves across the world, and those changes will undoubtedly effect the region in the coming months and years. The UK is a cornucopia of incredible global businesses from remittances to insurance, financial investment advisories, and online trading. Many of these players will have to adapt at some point, and rather than wait for these changes to become mandatory or be forced to change, businesses and organisations have the opportunity to be proactive and create differentiation for themselves, if they commit to studying and investing in these new technologies now. During the conference’s short, but action agenda, you will meet and hear from the biggest names in the industry and powerful newcomers. They are the innovators, thought leaders and decision makers that ignite discussion and illuminate tomorrow’s landscape - they are a shortcut to the future. Be sure to take advantage of the unique opportunity to make new friends, grow your network and seek out synergies. And last, but not least, make your voice heard.

PRESS RELEASE HAMDAN BIN MOHAMMED LAUNCHES DUBAI BLOCKCHAIN STRATEGY, 100% OF GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS TO BE ON THE BLOCKCHAIN BY 2020 Dubai, October 11, 2015 – His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Dubai Future Foundation, launched the Dubai Blockchain Strategy at an event at the Foundation’s headquarters today. The Strategy is the first of its kind globally and constitutes a paradigm shift in government transactions. Required documentation, such as bill payments, and license renewals, which account for over 100 million pages a year in Dubai, will be transacted digitally under the new strategy. This will enable citizens and residents to instantly conduct business without the need for cumbersome document checking, hard copies, or trips to service centers. The Strategy is projected to save up to 114 metric tons in CO 2 emissions in trip reductions, and unlock up to 5.1 million hours of economic productivity in saved document processing time. “Over the course of the past two years, Dubai has set the standard for a smart city on a global scale,” said H.H. Sheikh Hamdan. “The emirate is building on that achievement by constantly working to foresee the future and keep up with the fourth industrial revolution and all the prospects of increased efficiency that come along with it.” “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has defined a clear set of objectives for the government,” H.H. continued, “not least of which are ensuring the happiness of the people and building the future. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid went further and adopted the necessary strategies to turn these objectives into practical initiatives that reflect directly on people’s lives – namely, the Dubai Future Agenda and the Smart Dubai Happiness Agenda.” “The Dubai Blockchain Strategy makes the Dubai Government the first in the world to execute the entirety of its transactions using the blockchain platform – also known as the Internet of Transactions – by 2020,” H.H. added. “It aims to make life and work easier for people in Dubai. Users will only need to log in their personal data or business credentials once; it will then be updated and verified in a timely manner through the Blockchain network in all government and private entities including banks, insurance companies, and so on.” The Dubai Future Foundation has been tasked with overseeing the implementation of the Dubai Blockchain Strategy, while the Smart Dubai Office will be in charge of the execution.
18
Meanwhile, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, estimated that the new strategy will generate huge savings to Dubai’s economy every year, which can then be reinvested in the sectors that add value to the national economy. The strategy is also set to save millions of hours that employees usually spend on repetitive data-entry and document-checking activities, H.E. Al Gergawi added, not to mention the millions of hours that citizens spend in government offices. H.E. went on to explain that the strategy can create new markets and new business models, adding that the global Blockchain market is poised to reach $300 billion in value in the upcoming five years. The World Economic Forum (WEF) even named Blockchain as one of the top ten fourth-industrial- revolution technologies, and the most influential for 2016. The launch was attended by H.E Saif Al, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation and Youns Nasser, Deputy Director General of Smart City Office.
A PARADIGM SHIFT IN GOVERNMENT WORK AND BILLIONS IN SAVINGS Blockchain technology is considered one of the most important innovations of the 21 st century, as well as one of the most important solutions to emerge from the fourth industrial revolution. It is a secure cloud network through which transactions, government documents, identity certificates like passports or IDs, medical records, education records, leases, tenancy agreements, commercial contracts, or any other form of valuable information can be registered and inspected. Blockchain technology allows all these transactions to be executed quickly, securely, efficiently, and, above all, transparently. The new strategy will enable government departments to issue official documents on a secure, encrypted network that any authorized entity can check. This will allow vendors or departments to check the accuracy and legitimacy of things like passports, tenancy contracts, and residency permits instantly and securely, without the need to present the actual document itself. This will save citizens and residents over 25 million hours a year in document processing and enable them to do things like register a lease, change a bank account, or start or cancel utility services at the click of a button. It will also help connect services across various public and private sectors to form valuable service packages for clients.
A COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGY WITH THREE MAIN PILLARS With the Dubai Blockchain Strategy, Dubai is set to launch the world’s first comprehensive government Blockchain network. The Strategy establishes a roadmap for the introduction of Blockchain technology in Dubai and the creation of an open platform to share the technology with cities across the globe. The Dubai Blockchain strategy is built on the three pillars of government efficiency, industry creation, and international leadership.
19
1. GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY The first pillar of the Dubai Blockchain Strategy is Government Efficiency. Under this pillar, the new strategy will contribute to increased government efficiency by enabling a paperless digital layer for all city transactions, supporting Smart Dubai initiatives in the public and private sector. Required documentation, such as bill payments, and license renewals, which account for over 100 million documents each year, will be transacted digitally under the new strategy. Blockchain technology would contribute savings of up to 114 MTons CO 2 emissions from trip reductions, and redistribute up to 25.1 million hours of economic productivity in saved document processing time.
2. INDUSTRY CREATION The second pillar of the Dubai Blockchain Strategy is Industry Creation. The Dubai Blockchain Strategy will introduce a system for enabling citizens and partners to create new businesses by using the technology. Under the new strategy, Blockchain will enable thousands of business opportunities in the private sector. Industries that will benefit from Blockchain technology include: real estate, fin-tech and banking, healthcare, transportation, urban planning, smart energy, digital commerce, and tourism.
3. INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP The third pillar of the Dubai Blockchain Strategy is International Leadership. Dubai will open its Blockchain platform for global counterparts to enhance safety, security, and convenience for international travelers to Dubai. This will have major utility for mega-events such as the Expo 2020, which is expected to attract up to 25 million visitors. Under the new strategy, international travelers will benefit from faster entry with pre-approved passport and security clearance and visas; easier mobility within the city due to pre-approved drivers’ licenses and car rental; guaranteed wireless connectivity; enhanced tourism and pre-authenticated temporary digital wallets and payments. This will be delivered through a Global Trust Network with partners in Europe, North America, and Asia.
A JOINT PROJECT The Dubai Blockchain Strategy – a joint project between the Dubai Future Foundation and the Smart Dubai Office – adheres to the principles of the Dubai Future Agenda, which seeks to turn the UAE into an international center for future-oriented advancements. This strategy is added to the emirate’s record, which includes ground-breaking advancements in energy (Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050), transportation (Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy), and infrastructure (Dubai 3D Printing Strategy). PROFILE capacity of a rig gets assigned to the customer’s account and they can start mining their first coins immediately.
In the early days when the Bitcoin network was still small, it was possible to mine dozens of Bitcoins with just a normal laptop. As the network grew, mining became more difficult and a simple personal computer was not powerful enough anymore to fulfill the same purpose. Specialized, highly efficient machines were developed and introduced to the market. These, however, were expensive, shipped late and were complicated to setup.
Genesis Mining has been around since 2013. On top of their primary product, the company offers a variety of mining related solutions to small as well as large scale investors. Their algorithmic trading framework, infrastructure in mining and self-developed mining farm-management software, Genesis Hive, made them the key player in mining related investments across the world. Just recently they received widespread media attention as they introduced their latest project: the ENIGMA mining farm. The farm is the largest of its kind and specializes in mining Ether, the crypto currency whose value had risen by more than 1400% in just a few weeks. Genesis Mining is also the founding partner of Logos Fund, the first ever Bitcoin Mining Fund, which targets professional investors looking to gain exposure to Bitcoin’s potential.
Nowadays it is possible to benefit from mining without having to go through this lengthy and complex process, through using a cloud mining service like Genesis Mining. The company buys the mining equipment in bulk and sets it up in a highly optimal location, where temperature and the price of electricity are low, such as Iceland. The mining
If you would like to read more about opportunities in this area, Genesis Mining has been featured on CNBC, The Economist, and the International Business Times, to name a few. They also receive regular publicity in the crypto news media. To view their website directly, you can visit them at genesis-mining. com
If you have already considered investing in the emerging crypto currency market, mining could be just what you are looking for.

WHAT IS ETHEREUM? THE BIG IDEA Ethereum is the first World Computer. Like a unique computer that can be used by everyone. It’s a Decentralized Platform. It runs on many different computers at the same time, so it doesn’t have a single physical location.
WHAT BITCOIN DOES FOR PAYMENTS, ETHEREUM DOES FOR ANYTHING THAT CAN BE PROGRAMMED INTERESTED? Wait ‘till you see what it does. It’s a platform for Decentralized Applications (DAPPS) DAPPS are computer programs that remove the middle man in bascially any centralized service that exists. The consequences:
REDUCED COSTS
NO SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE
PREVENTS CENSORSHIP
FRAUDPROOF
NO TRUST NEEDED
GUARANTEES TRANSPARENCY
No need to pay fees for intermediaries, because you won’t need them.
There’s no ONE server to be hacked or disabled. There is NO DOWN TIME.
Its decentralized nature prevents control or tampering.
The decentralized nature eliminates fraud and tampering.
Your identity, personal info and funds stay in your control.
The Blockchain is open for everyone to see while remaining anonymous.

It can, basically, create a programmable contract directly between peers.
IT’S SO PEER FRIENDLY THAT IT IS THE FIFTH LARGEST CROWD FUNDED PROJECT EVER. It runs on its native token called ETHER, which serves 2 main purposes: Ether payment is required for applications to perform any operation, so that broken and malicious programs are kept under control.
Ether is rewarded to people who contribute to the network with their resources - much like Bitcoin’s incentive structure.
applications It’s true to say that anything that can be written in code, can run in the Ethereum network. Some of the predicted application fields for Ethereum include:
Reputation Systems
Registering Contracts
Messaging Systems
Individual Currencies
Trading Computer Resources (CPU time, HD space)
Property Management
Online Voting
Social Networking
Finance
Decentralized Governance
THE MOST EXCITING APPLICATIONS OF ETHEREUM ARE PROBABLY THE ONES THAT WE HAVE NOT EVEN THOUGHT OF. Vitalik Buterin, Creator of Ethereum.
