(ata resentation !lement ,n addition to the a$o%e components- a measurement system may also ha%e a data storage element to store measured data for future use. As the a$o%e si components are the most common ones used in many measurement systems- they are discussed in detail $elow:
1. rimary Sensing !lement:
*he primary sensing element recei%es signal of the physical /uantity to $e measured as input. ,t con%erts the signal to a suita$le form 0electrical- mechanical or other form- so that it $ecomes easier for other elements of the measurement system- to either con%ert or manipulate it.
". #aria$le Con%ersion !lement: #aria$le con%ersion element con%erts the output of the primary sensing element to a more suita$le form. ,t is used only if necessary.
&. #aria$le Manipulation !lement: #aria$le manipulation element manipulates and amplifies the output of the %aria$le con%ersion element. ,t also remo%es noise 0if present in the signal.

(ata rocessing !lement: (ata processing element is an important element used in many measurement systems. ,t processes the data signal recei%ed from the %aria$le manipulation element and produces suita$le output. (ata processing element may also $e used to compare the measured %alue with a standard %alue to produce re/uired output.

(ata *ransmission System: (ata *ransmission System is simply used for transmitting data from one element to another. ,t acts as a communication link $etween different elements of the measurement system. Some of the data transmission elements used are ca$les- wireless antennae- transducers- telemetry systems etc.
