We shook hands and wished e a c h other luck as gentle m e n do and then got down to o n e of the most tense games I h a ve played in many, many y e a rs of gaming. I received i n t he first half and Bruno m a naged to deny me scoring i n t he half with some dogged d e f ence even as I started to c h i p away at his numbers. It j u s t seemed that there was a l w ays a dark elf in the most i n c onvenient place every turn n o matter how hard I tried to g e t them off the pitch. Flint C h u rnblade should take the s l a y er oath for his appalling p e r f ormance as he seemed t o h ave brought his nerf bat t o t he game instead of his c h a i nsaw (he managed to b re ak armour once for the e n t i re first half before he w e n t off) – one too many p re - game brews or perhaps a s n e aky dark elf trick! W i t h him receiving in the s e c ond half and the score s t i l l nil all, there were some v e r y concerned looks in the H N K dugout. Bruno is an e x c ellent coach and I thought I w as in a whole mess of t ro u ble if he managed to s c o re as I would struggle t o e qualise considering the f i r s t half. Second half started

t h e i r organisation, responsi b l e body or representative. T h e talking part is import a n t to make sure that they a re ok with you trying to r a i s e money on their behalf. S o m e organisations can be a l i t t l e weird on what they will a n d will not allow and who k n o ws, if you can get explicit p e r mission perh aps you can g e t extra backing from them. T h i s backing could be any t h i n g from permission to use t h e i r logo all the way up to m a t erial backing in the shape o f rewards and prizes or even s o m ewhere to hold the event. 2) Have a Location. Well y o u are going to have some r a m bunctious Bl ood Bowlers r u n n ing around and you are g o i n g to need to put them s o m ewhere. Make some esti m a t es of how many you will b e a ble to attract, and then s t a r t looking for places you c a n obtain. Depending in the s i z e you might be able to get i t d one in a large house or y o u might have to hold it in a p roper hall. One suggestion I h a ve to is to make whoever i s i n charge of the loca t i o n aware you are doing it f o r charity. Some places can b e really cool about things l i k e this and will do it for a re duced price or even for f re e . 3) Have Receipts. There is more p a p e r work for progression ev e n t s and games typically go l o n ger as players have to ke e p t rack of more records d u r i n g the event, but there is a c e r t a in amount of nostalgia f o r t h a t kind of tournament. I f y o u go for Resur rection, t h e re are more decisions to b e m a de… 1.
How much starting money do players receive?
2.
Can players buy skills and inducements with that money?
3.
Are there limits on allocating skills? (maximum of one per player, no doubles, no stat increases etc)
4.
Alternatively, are you giving players free skills or some kind of skill packs that they can choose from?
5 .
Do teams progress during the event, e.g. perhaps you start with Rookie teams and you get to add one normal skill after each round.
