To change a string’s note, press the string all the way down on the fingerboard between any two fret ba
The other note of E5 is B, also called its fifth. This is a fretted note on the A string. Hold down the string with your index finger at the second fret. Play both the E and the B together. The two notes should sound at the same time. Listen again to track 10 to make sure you are playing the same not

Tablature
Tablature (or just “tab”) shows a note’s fret number. Tab has six lines, showing the six strings. On the lines are numbers, showing what fret you should press to get the note.
