THE ATTADEMO ATTADEMO GRAMAGLIA DUO DU O
The Duo: Founded in 2012, from two artists’ idea to unite the unique and fascinating sonorities of the viola and the guitar in an ensemble that could ennoble them both, not only through the peculiarities of their timbre but also from the point of view of chamber music, thanks to their natural balance and fusion. This This permits the duo to explore a vast repertoire, from Bach to the contemporaries,
and to appreciate the deepest musical and structural aspects of the works thanks to the instruments’ natural affinity and ability to create a dialogue between themselves. The album: The duo’s first album is dedicated to the works of Paganini, released by Brilliant Classics in January 2015 and which has achieved great critical success (CD of the month in Amadeus, 5 star rating in Archi magazine.) Amadeus, September 2015 – CD of the month. “Gramaglia’s performance is spectacular.” (M. Riboni) Archi Magazine, December 2015 – 5 stars “A program of this nature requires a magisterial interpretation and Simone Gramaglia and Luigi Attademo are absolutely up to the task.” (M. Ballarini)
