Forewords Essential oils are true effective wonders to take care of your skin. This is why it is mainly for their regenerating, antioxidant, antiwrinkle, anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties that essential oils are used in the pharmaceutical and beauty industries. Unfortunately, Unfortunatel y, essential oils are not cheap substances, and “aromatherapy” “aromathera py” based beauty products are either very expensive or contain only traces of the powerful extracts, if they are natural. But let me tell tell you one thing: thing: you don’t have to compromise. compromise. You can have it all! A cheaper, more efficient, personalized $
collection of therapeutic beauty products, made at home.
Your beauty therapeutic essential oils There are already a large number of books that involve essential oils in beauty products ... to me, it is not really useful to add one more. That is why I’ve chosen to lead you through some of my professional secrets and go a little further here. What I wish you to comprehend is that essential oils that act on your outer beauty will also act on your well-being. With this in mind, it becomes interesting for you to choose them carefully in order to give your cosmetics a new dimension: a holistic therapeutic action.
%
Therapeutic essential oils to serve your beauty You will choose your oils according to 1. Their perfume 2. Their actions on your skin 3. Their therapeutic properties
The fragrance Essential oils were the original perfumery ingredients, before chemistry came to interfere. Try to balance the light notes and base notes: to help you do so, each oil is associated with a dilution ratio, the number that follows the botanical name of the essential oil.
&
This ratio allows you to balance the amount of drops of oil in relation to another. For example, you’ll count 12 drops of Bergamot for one drop of Rose, not an equal amount of both oils in the same preparation. This is an easy way to identify the top notes from the base notes, those who will dominate and those that will give depth. I
Healing oils Here are some essential oils that I have selected for their not solely symptomatic therapeutic properties. Do not be shy: these oils have their place in any beauty treatment! Of course, some will be more appropriate than others to be added to bath water or to make a mask ... If you really need a regular therapeutic action, enjoy a therapeutic deodorant (a good way to balance the hormones of a teenager), an essential oils loaded day cream for your emotional well being or a night cream to help you snooze while working on your wrinkles. Still shy? Here are some example of when to use therapeutic essential oils :
#"
•
For a boost before an output end of the day,
•
or simply to relax
•
to stimulate your blood circulation,
•
to benefit from a diuretic or anti-fat action
•
and why not to get an anti-viral or anti-bacterial protection.
What you’ll have to do is to properly combine the means of administration with the right choice of essential oils. Here are some ideas you can adapt to your lifestyle : • You need a night out, but you're stressed and tired of your day. The solution is an effervescent bath bombs ( which I give you the recipe later), loaded with a very anti-stress essential oil such as Ylang-Ylang, paired with the balancing Mandarin. Stimulating and relaxing is one thing.
##
What about going further?
•
If you know you have a poor digestive system, your liver is playing tricks on you when you eat out or you tend to drink too too much, think about it when you add essential oils to your preparation: Choose Neroli, a deeply relaxing relaxing oil which supports your liver as well as your digestive system.
•
If you suffer from anxiety, load your bath bomb with angelica and patchouli to accompany Neroli. And if this is the stress that puts you flat, add a drop of Ylang-ylang to your formula. Needless to say, you’ll prepare a good assortment of these in advance…
• If you have a teenager whose periods are still uneven, which leads her to be a little emotionally unstable, prepare her a deodorant containing containing a hormone regulator such as geranium, added emotional support with bergamot, and a good anti-bacterial such as spike lavender.
#$
•
If you want to lose weight and are on a diet, you know how your body will scrub before applying your slimming cream. There is nothing love a little scrub before cream or oil to smooth out your like a good anti-cellulite home made cream or thighs. So, give your body a boost with anti-toxic oils like peppermint, black black pepper and angelica root in your body scrub.
•
If you tend to have dry lips, do better that simply using basic ingredients in your lip balm: balm: include also Palmarosa essential oil for added moisture and repair properties.
•
If you suffer emotionally and need moral support (or want to help someone balm enriched with anti-depressant who is suffering in the hospital), a lip balm enriched and immuno-stimulant oils can do miracles. Choose Cinnamon, Cardamom and Geranium for example...
