Hemifacial Spasm The symptom is caused from compression of facial nerve called anterior inferior cerebellar cerebellar artery however, because because this nerves also also control eyebrows, eyes, and lips muscle, it causes a twitching of facial muscle on one side of the face or Hemifacial Spasm .
Hemifacial Spasm (Treatment) Medication: Your doctor may prescribe anti-convulsant drugs or Muscle relaxants. These drugs usually used with mild cases. Side effects: Drowsiness, effects: Drowsiness, Unsteadiness, Nausea, Skin Rash, Dependence ** Patients should take a blood test to ensure the drug level in their body and take a safe amount of drug.
Botox injections: Botulinum toxin, or Botox usually works within three days and lasts for three months. It can be repeated indefinitely Side effects: Temporary Facial Weakness, Drooping Eyelid, Eyelid, Eye Irritation and Sensitivity.
Hemifacial Spasm (Treatment) Surgery: Medications and injections sometimes fail to control spasms or cause side effects. Microvascular decompression can relieve the nerve compression. A neurosurgeon will make a hole in the bone (craniotomy) at the back of your head to expose the facial nerve at the brainstem then put the sponge besides your auditory nerve .
Exercise Scalp Exercise Step number one : - stand in front of and look at the mirror -raise up the eyebrows (contract the frontalis muscles) Step number two: - put your hand at the side of the head try to pull back your ears (contract the occipitalis muscles) - small movement - head will contract easily -muscle at the back of the head require lots of work Step number three: - place your fingers over the two muscle slips at the back of the head
Exercise Occipitalis muscle
occipital = back of head
Step 1: Lie on the bed (face the ceiling, and head on a pillow) pil low) Step 2: Pull your ear back (feel the contraction of the muscle) The pillow acts as a monitor giving you sensory biofeedback. This biofeedback will eventually enable you to gain complete control of the occipitalis muscles.
Exercise Eye muscle Step 1: Contract the occipitalis muscles at the back of the head Step 2: Winking one eye while contrating the ocipitalis. Step 3: repeat the same thing with another eye. Step 4: repeat the whole step from the beginning for one more time. You'll feel the orbicularis oculi muscles working hard as you do this advanced exercise. This means that they are getting stronger.
Exercise2 This exercise will will your mouth, cheek and chin muscle m uscle to be stronger.
Exercise 3 Muscles Under Eyes You doing this exercise by winking your eyes and hold it for a second and then switch side. This exercise will help to firm orbicularis oculi muscle around your eye and nasalis muscle on the top of your nose. This exercise will help to make fine l ine on your face less noticeable. Please make your face skin moisture before doing any of this exercise. After doing this, close your both eyes tightly and hold it for 2-3 seconds. After a few weeks of this exercise, bagginess around upper eyelid and hooded upper eyelid will disappear.
Exercise 4 Muscle Around Mouth
The exercise for the orbicularis oris, the circular muscle around the mouth.
(Never exercise the facial muscles without lubricating t he skin either with water or oil.) ● ● ●

You will will then then cont contrac ractt the orbic orbicula ularis ris oris oris even even more more stro strongl ngly y until until the index fingers get closer together.
*The muscle will maintain a constant length as you hold the contraction. Recommendation: 25 to 50 repetitions.
Exercise 5 Chin Muscle Again!! (Never exercise exercise the facial muscles without without lubricating the skin skin either with water or oil.) oil.) 1. 2. 3.

While you're doing this exercise, you'll feel the muscles at the front of the neck (the platysma) working hard along with the chin muscle. Keeping these two muscle groups in good shape is important to ward off the dreaded turkey-neck syndrome and platysmal banding.
