INDOOR: NATURAL LIGHT: Natural lighting is mainly used as a measure for indoor lighting. • All the rooms in the sanjeevani comprise of huge glass windows which provide all natural sunlight in the building. • For the naturopathy treatment main source is sunlight that is provided all the way in the building. As in naturopathy Treatments patients need wholly contact to nature. So, thats why in sanjeevani centre big glass doors and windows are constructed which provide proper sunlight and breeze inside the treatment areas and building.

2. MECHANICAL METHODS: HVAC systems are used as a mechanical method but as in naturopathy hospital no air conditioners or chilling coolers are used in the treatment areas.
In Sanjeevani Hvac systems are used only in Cottage rooms and in admin offices.

CLIMATE STUDY:
Delhi is characterized under composite Climate having seasons as hot-dry, warm-humid & cool-dry The annual rainfall is between 654-702mm and humidity lies between 30-20% in dry and 50-95% in wet period. Solar radiation is intense in summer & winter with low percentage of diffused radiation The direction of wind is noticed and advantage is taken by orienting the building accordingly. • Hot and dusty during summer • Strong winds in monsoon from southeast • Dry, cold winds in winter from northeast Sun SO ORIENTATION OF SITE : - NORTH- WEST FACING SUSTAINABILITY:

There is a HUGE OPEN AREA Landscaped which result in cool breeze inside the building. This Results in ENERGY EFFICIENCY as less use of Air Conditioners and chillers.

As per the Admin officer there is a need of a large OPEN SPACE all around the building for • TREATMENTS • NATURAL LIGHTING • NATURAL BREEZE

CONNECTIVITY: There should be connectivity between the areas i.e Treatment areas with wards Connectivity is through pathways & corridors USER’s FEEDBACK: No PARKING near the entrance but it is at the rear of the site No RAMP No LIFT No Separate LAUNDRY ROOM KITCHEN not connected to DINING AREA Lacking in BASIC ORGANISATION Proper CROSS VENTILATION as building is open on both sides inferences: PROPER ORIENTATION is important for these type of structures TREATMENT AREAS should be made according to the connectivity of certain treatments. LANSCAPING and OPEN AREAS are the major key factor so they should be designed accordingly to give users the accent of nature
