The AEFS™ family is a unique breakthrough technology creating unparallel cleanliness in lubricating oils and lubrication systems for the power generation, pulp & paper, manufacturing, petro-chemical, and injection molding markets. The AEFS™ technology family is designed to clean and purify lubricating oil, and lubricating systems in the sub micron level. The electronically activated filtration, executed in a low flow rate off-line loop, provides â 0.09 = 200 particle removal without the disadvantages disadvantages observed with other fine filters. Varnish precursors and products of oxidation are quickly removed from the lubricating oil and lubricating systems, thus restoring fluids to pristine condition, maximizing equipment and fluid performance. The AEFS™ family technology has three product offerings that can filter up to 7,200 gallons, 3,600 gallons, and 1,600 gallons a day. The three systems are designed and manufactured in a kidney loop fashion as a perfect companion to compliment full flow filters. These full flow filters are specifically designed to protect the machinery from clearance sized debris which will cause immediate clearance size wear and damage to the machinery. In the recent past, operations and maintenance personnel have been lulled into a false sense of security by reducing the pore size of the full flow filters to increase particulate cleanliness. Reducing the pore size of full-flow filters filters has created additional electrostatic energy and electrostatic discharge which leads to aggressive varnishing. The AEFS™ solution suggests a new alternative...return the full flow filters to the original OEM specifications and add the AEFS™ Filmax Inc kidney loop / off line filtration solution exclusively sold through Fluid Fluid Assets, LLC. This combination provides triple benefits at a single stroke; 1. Returning the filters to the OEM Specifications reduces the generation of electrostatic energy and reduces electrostatic spark discharge. Using non-sparking filters filters can reduce this tendency even further. 2. The AEFS™ technology will over time (3 to 6 weeks), remove all of the fine particulate material from the fluid, not only achieving lower particle counts but also removing the material which cause varnishing in the first place. 3. The ultra pure fluid created by the AEFS™ technology is such a rapacious cleaner that the entire equipment lubricating system is cleaned as it would be with a chemical flush. However since the existing fluid fluid is used, there can be no compatibility issues what so ever...in essence, a chemical flush with no down time! The AEFS™ triple benefit savings side of the ledger is thus; a. The avoidance of the oil system cleaning cost at overhaul. b. The increased reliability by pre-cleaning all of the sludge holding large reserves of wear metals which can re-enter the recirculation stream under conditions of vibration. c. Increased reliability through the removal of varnishing and pre-varnishing materials, which can, and eventually will cause reduction of critical clearances or the restriction of lubricant supply lines.
MODEL AEFS-3600 ADVANCED ELECTRONIC FILTRATION SYSTEM
ELIMINATING VARNISH, SLUDGE, AND CONTAMINATION IN LUBRICATING SYSTEMS 150 GPH The Filmax AEFS-3600 ™* is a high performance, robust, and reliable Advance Electronic Filtration System designed to clean and purify lubricating systems up to 3,600 gallons. The AEFS-3600 ™ is the confluence of several technologies which rapidly and selectively remove small and large contamination from many industrial and hydraulic fluids. The Filmax AEFS-3600 ™ is a unique breakthrough technology creating unparallel cleanliness below the 3 micron level. Electronically activated capillary size depth filtration, executed in a low flow rate off-line loop, provides β0.05 = 200 particle removal without the disadvantages observed with other fine filters. Varnish precursors and products of oxidation are quickly removed from the lubricating oil and the lubrication system thus restoring fluids to pristine condition, maximizing equipment and fluid performance.

d. The improvement of thermal conductivity throughout the lubrication system due to the removal of coatings, reducing bearing and oil temperatures and thus prolonging the life of both items. e. Pre-cleaning beyond the limits of a chemical flush will insure that when the changeover to the new lubricant occurs, the potential for mixing issues will be minimal. The above, in aggregate will add up to significant savings and cost avoidance. Varnishing and sludging is an ongoing procedure which is a natural part of the oxidation process. Since the generation of this debris is continuous, the treatment must also be continuous!!!
