Kjo trashëgimi e pasur, gjendet ngado, në parqet e qendrat arkeologjike, në parqet natyrore, në galeritë e artit, në arkivat fotografikë e filmikë, në kalatë dhe keshtjellat, në monumente fetare dhe banesat popullore, në kalldrëmet e rrugicat e gurta, si edhe në të gjitha muzetë e saj. Placed amidst the two antique civilizations, both of Greek and Roman one, it inherits a precious thesaurus of cultural heritage, part of the world cultural heritage. Such rich heritage is overwhelming; it can be found in the archaeological parks and centers, in the natural parks, into art galleries, through photographic and film archives, inside the castles and towers, onto cult monuments and dwelling houses, paved roads and stone lanes as well as inside all its museums. Ky udherrefyes përbën një instrument unik dhe një motiv më shumë për të gjithë ata vizitorë vendas dhe të huaj, që duan të udhëtojnë përmes kulturës, traditës dhe qytetërimit shqiptar. Apart from the well-known museums, Albania offers extraordinary refined collections amazingly surprising everyone in each piece of heritage starting from nature to art, from handcrafts to ethnology, from archaic to cults, from tangible to intangible ones. There have not been published any guide, so far, which would consider all the necessary criteria needed for compiling up the Albanian museum catalogs. The Guide constitutes an unique instrument and it is a reason more to all those visitors, both natives and foreigners, wishing to navigate across Albanian cultures, tradition and civilization. Ai është institucioni më i madh muzeor shqiptar. Në mjediset e muzeut ndodhen 4750 objekte muzeore. Spikat në këto mjedise Pavioni i Lashtësisë, që nis me periudhën e paleolitit e deri në antikitetin e vonë, në shek. VI pas Krishtit, me afro 400 objekte, të gjitha të klasit të parë. Në Pavionin e Mesjetës, me afro 300 objekte, dokumentohet qartë shndërrimi i procesit historik të ilirëve të vjetër në arbërit e hershëm. Ky pavion pasqyron historinë shqiptare deri në shek. XVI. Pavione të tjerë janë ai i Rilindjes Kombëtare si edhe ai i Pavarësisë e i krijimit të Shtetit Shqiptar, deri në vitin 1924. Në vitin 1996 është krijuar Pavioni i Genocidit me 136 objekte. Pavioni i Ikonografisë, me 65 ikona të klasit të parë, u ngrit në

It is the biggest Albanian museum institution. There are 4750 objects inside the museum. Striking is the Antiquity Pavilion starting from the Paleolithic Period to the Late Antiquity, in the 4th century A.D., with almost 400 first class objects. The Middle Age Pavilion, with almost 300 objects, documents clearly the historical transformation process of the ancient Illyrians into early Arbers. This pavilion reflects the Albanian history until the 15th century. Other pavilions are those of National Renaissance, Independence and Albanian State Foundation, until 1924.

Ndër vlerat më të spikatura të pavioneve të mësipërme do të përmendim dëshmitë e kulturës parahistorike në Shqipëri, periudhës arkaike, paraqytetare ilire, të periudhës ilire, si dhe shumë objekte që kanë të bëjnë me gërshetimin e kulturave greke dhe romake. Veçojmë këtu pafkën prej bronxi dhe argjendi në një skenë mitologjike ilire, të gjetur në varret monumentale të Selcës të shek. III para Krishtit, disa skulptura të periudhës klasike me prejardhje nga Durrësi dhe Apollonia, shumë terrakota dhe bronxe të mrekullueshëm, kokë në mermer të Apollonit të shek I pas Krishtit, një relikë praksiteliane të gjetur në Butrint dhe të njohur me emrin konvencional Dea e Butrintit. Një kokë burri me gur gëlqeror të shek. të Vtë nga Durrësi, në kufij të artit perandorak romak dhe të artit bizantin, stela e Lepidias e shek. The Genocide Pavilion with 136 objects was founded in 1996. The Iconography Pavilion with 65 first class icons was established in 1999. The best works of 18th and 19th century painters are found here, like Onufër Qiprioti, Joan Çetiri, Kostandin Jermonaku, Joan Athanasi, Kostandin Shpataraku, Mihal Anagnosti and some unknown authors. In 2004 the Antifascism Pavilion 220 objects was reestablished. In 2005 Albanian Ethnography pavilion was added in one of Museum halls with 250 objects. Among the most impressive values of the abovementioned pavilions is the evidence of prehistoric culture in Albania, Archaic Period and pre-urban Illyrian period, Illyrian period and many objects relating to the intertwining of Greek and Roman cultures. The bronze and silver plaque in a mythological scene, found at Selcë monumental graves of the 3rd century B.C., some classical period sculptures coming from Durres and Apollonia, many wonderful terracotta and bronze works, the marble head of Apollon of the 1st century A.D, a Praxiteles relic, found in Butrint and known with the conventional name Dea of Butrint. A limestone man’s head of the 4th century from Durres, in the boundaries of Roman Imperial art and Byzantine art, Lepidia’s Stele of the 3rd century A.D. from Durres, representing the ethnographic Illyrian clothes and many gravestones called kioliske of Illyrian anthroponomy. In the ancient period, special is the extraordinary value of wonderful pebble mosaic of the 4th century B.C. made with “ocus dermitucalis” technique called “Durres Beauty”, but also Antigonea mosaic of the 4th century B.C. that represents the early Christian period cult.

IV para Krishtit të quajtur “Bukuroshja e Durrësit”, por edhe mozaiku i Antigonesë i shek. VI pas Krishtit, që paraqit kultin e periudhës së krishtërimit të hershëm. Nga periudha mesjetare e hershme dhe mesjeta e vonë, muzeu ka disa objekte, si p.sh. stemat heraldike të princërve shqiptarë, kapitele të katedraleve, relieve, ikona të ikonografëve më të mëdhenj të Shqipërisë, si të Onufrit, shek. XVI, David Selenicasit dhe Kostandin Shpatarakut shek. XVIII. Spikat në mënyrë të veçantë Epitafi i Gllavenicës, një kryevepër, pëlhurë kërpi, e qëndisur me ar, e vitit 1373, bërë nga princi shqiptar Gjergj Araniti. Një vend të veçantë zë periudha e heroit Kombëtar Gjegj Kastriot Skënderbeu, në shek XV. Periudha e pushtimit otoman trajtohet si një proces që konvergon me Lidhjen Shqiptare të Prizrenit 1878, fillimet e Rilindjes Kombëtare dhe që kurorëzohet me shpalljen e Pavarësisë të Shtetit të lirë Shqiptar, më 1912. Në Muzeun Historik Kombëtar, ruhen edhe shumë objekte origjinale, që u përkasin personaliteteve të mëdha të historisë shqiptare

The museum has some objects from the early and late Middle Age, such as the heraldic emblems of Albanian princes, cathedrals columns, relief, icons by the greatest Albanian iconographers, such as Onufri, 16th century, David Selenica and Kostandin Shpataraku, 18th century. Gllavenica Epitaph, in hemp cloth, embroidered with gold of 1373, made by Albanian prince Gjergj Araniti, occupies a special place. The period of the National Hero, George Kastriot Scanderbeg, 15th century occupies a particular place. The Ottoman invasion period is treated as a process converging with Albanian League of Prizren in 1878, beginning of National Renaissance, crowning with the declaration of Independence of Albanian free State in 1912. National Historic Museum preserves many original objects that belong to important personalities of Albanian history.

Ky muze është ndërtuar në kalanë e famshme të Krujës, kryeqendra e shtetit të arbërit dhe personifikim i disfatës së ushtrive turke, për tri herë rresht, në shek. XIV-XV. Në këtë muze janë të ekspozuara mjaft objekte, dokumente dhe bibliografi origjinale, riprodhime autentike që flasin qartë për historinë e popullit shqiptar në shek. XV e më gjerë. Në këtë muze numërohen pavione të tilla si pavioni i antikitetit dhe mesjetës së hershme, pavioni i principatave shqiptare, i pushtimit osman dhe përballimit të këtij pushtimi, pavioni i kështjellave mesjetare, i qëndresës shqiptare, kanceleria e Skënderbeut, biblioteka, salla e princave, e pinokotekës dhe së fundi pavioni i trashëgimisë dhe i jehonës. Në këto pavione janë ekspozuar objekte prej qeramike, bronxi, hekuri, bakri, faksimile të ndryshme, ikona origjinale, shkrime, këmbanë e vitit 1462, shpata origjinale të shek. XV etj.. NATIONAL MUSEUM “GEORGE KASTRIOT SCANDERBEG”

Tel: +355 532 22 25 Visiting Hours: 900 – 1300 and 1500 - 1800(***) Holiday: Monday Address: Fortress of Kruja National Museum “George Kastriot Scandebeg” was inaugurated on 1 November 1982. It is built in the famous fortress of Kruja, capital of Arber state and personification of Turkish armies defeat for three successive times in the 14th – 15th century. Many objects, original documents and bibliographies, authentic reproductions that depict clearly Albanian people history in the 15th and beyond are displayed in this museum. The museum counts such pavilions as Antiquity and Early Middle Age Pavilion, Albanian Princedom Pavilion, Pavilion of Ottoman Invasion and resistance to this invasion, medieval fortresses pavilion, Albanian resistance, Scanderbeg’s office equipment and library, princes’ hall and pinacotheque and the last one is the heritage and echo pavilion. Objects of ceramic, bronze, iron, copper, several facsimiles, original icons, writings, a bell of 1462, original swords of the 15th century, etc. are displayed in these pavilions. MUZEU KOMBETAR ETNOGRAFIK
Telefon: +355 511 2225 Orari i vizitave: 9°°-13°° dhe 15°°-18°° (***). Pushim: E hënë Adresa: “Kalaja Krujë” Muzeu Kombëtar Etnografik i Krujës u përurua më 20 Nëntor1989. Ai është i ndërtuar në një banesë karakteristike qytetare të vitit 1764. Banesa është monument kulture i kategorisë së parë. Në 15-16 mjediset e saj, si edhe objektet e paraqitura në mjediset e jashme, jepet një pamje e plotë i zejeve të ushtruara në Krujë dhe në të gjithë Shqipërinë, si edhe i menyrës së jetesës duke filluar që 300 vjet përpara. 90% e objekteve të këtij muzeu janë origjinale dhe 100% janë funksionale. Në të gjejmë objekte prej qeramike, druri, guri, hekuri, pambuku, mëndafshi, leshi, qëndisma të ndryshme të ekspozuara me finesë. Mosha e këtyre objekteve varion nga 60-70 deri në 500-vjeçare. NATIONAL ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

Tel: +355 532 22 25 Visiting Hours: 900 – 1300 and 1700 - 1800(***) Holiday: Monday Address : Fortress of Kruja National Ethnographic Museum Krujë was inaugurated on 20 November 1989. It is placed in a characteristic urban building of 1764. This building is a first class culture monument. Its 15-16 rooms and the objects exhibited outside give a complete view of the crafts applied in Krujë and all over Albania and of the way of living since 300 years. 90 % of this museum items are original and 100 % are functional. Items of ceramic, wood, stone, iron, cotton, silk and wool and various embroideries are exhibited here with finesse. These objects have an age varying from 60-70 to 500 years. (***) In May, June, July, August and September the visiting hours: 0900-1300 and 1600-1900

Ai është një nga qendrat muzeore më të rëndësishme të Shqipërisë e më gjerë. Fondi i tij ka mbi 7 mijë objekte kulti e arti, kryesisht ikona e më pak punime guri, druri, metali e tekstili të krijuara nga mesjeta e hershme deri në fillim të shek. XX prej artistësh anonimë e të mirënjohur, nga treva të ndryshme të vendit. Në sallën kryesore janë vendosur një koleksion ikonash dhe objekte nga më të mirat, krijuar në shekuj e që pasqyrojnë momente të ndryshme të zhvillimit të ikonografisë shqiptare dhe përfaqësuesit kryesorë të tyre. Aty ka vepra të autorëve anonimë të shek. XIII-XIV dhe të tjerë të mirënjohur si: Onufri, Onufër Qiprioti, Mësues Kostandini, Jeromonaku, Shpataraku, Selenicasi, vëllezërit Zografi etj.. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MEDIEVAL ART

Tel: +355 824 30 22 Visiting Hours: 900 – 1300 and 1500 - 1800(***) Holiday: Monday Address: L. 2, Rr. Sotir Peçi, Korçë National Museum of Medieval Art in Korçë was inaugurated on 24 April 1980. It is one of the most important museum centers of Albania. Its fund includes over 7 thousand art and cult items, mainly icons and less stone, wooden, metal and textile works of anonymous and well-known artists from different areas of the country. A collection of best icons and objects created in centuries representing various moments of Albanian iconography development and its main representatives are displayed in the principal hall. Here are works of anonymous artists of the 13th - 14th century and other well-known ones like Onufri, Onufer Qiprioti, Teacher Kostandini, Jeromonak Shpataraku, Selenica, Zografi Brothers, etc. (***) In May, June, July, August and September the visiting hours: 0900-1300 and 1600-1900

Bul. “Shën Gjergji”, Korçë Në ndërtesën ku ndodhet sot Muzeu Kombetar i Arsimit shqiptar, ndërtesë Monument Kulture 150-vjeçare, është hapur Shkolla e Parë në gjuhën shqipe, ose siç thirrej atëhere, “Mësonjëtorja e Parë Shqipe”. Kjo shkollë u hap më 7 Mars 1887, me leje nga Perandoria Osmane. Ndërtesa ishte shtëpia ku banonte patrioti korçar Diamanti Terpo i cili e dhuroi këtë banesë për shkollën shqipe. Në këtë muze pasqyrohet historia e shkrimit shqip, e morisë së alfabeteve deri në alfabetin që kemi sot, vendosur në Kongresin e Manastirit, më 1908. Në këtë Muze pasqyrohet historia e librit shqip prej abetares së parë të gjuhës shqipe (evetari, 1744), hartuar nga Naum Panajot Bredhi (Veqilharxhi). Ndërtesa e muzeut ka tetë mjedise ekspozimi. NATIONAL EDUCATION MUSEUM

Boul. “Shën Gjergji”, Korçë The First School in Albanian Language (called “Mësonjëtorja”) was opened on 7 March 1887 in the current building of National Education Museum, a 150-year-old building. It was opened by permission of Ottoman Empire. The building was the house of the patriot from Korça, Diamanti Terpo, who donated it for first Albanian School. This museum shows the history of Albanian writing, the numerous alphabets up to the present one, decided in Manastiri Congress in 1908. It also displays Albanian book history starting from the first primer of Albanian language (Evetari 1744) compiled by Naum Panajot Bredhi (Veqilharxhi). The museum building has eight exhibiting rooms. (***) In May, June, July, August and September the visiting hours are: 0900-1300 and 1600-1900

MUZEU KOMBETAR “ONUFRI”
Telefon: +355 32 43022 Orari i vizitave: 8°°-16°° (***) Pushim: E hënë Adresa: Lagja Kala, Berat Muzeu Kombëtar “Onufri”, gjendet në qendër të lagjes së banuar në kalanë mesjetare të qytetit të Beratit. Në të janë përfshirë një fond i pasur ikonografik dhe disa objekte të shërbesës. Muzeu është organizuar në mjediset e kishës së katedrales së Shën Mërisë, që është ndërtuar në vitin 1797, mbi themelet e një kishe më të vjetër me të njëjtin emër. Ky muze mban emrin e piktorit më të shquar shqiptar të shek. të XVI, Onufrit, i cili ka lënë një fond mjaft të pasur në krijimtarinë ikonografike. Kompleksi muzeal përbëhet nga salla qendrore e kishës, mjedisi i altarit, si edhe nga një sërë mjedisesh ndihmëse njëkatëshe, në anën veriore, dhe dykatëshe, në anën perëndimore. Ndërtimi shquhet për ngritje në lartësi, duke përbërë një variant të rëndësishëm të arkitekturës së kultit në kalimin nga shek. i XVIII- në shek. XIX. Muzeu ka tri salla kryesore, në të cilat janë të ekspozuara veprat më të mira të autorëve që përmendëm më lart si edhe të autorëve të tjerë. Veç ikonave të ekspozuara në mjediset e muzeut, një seri të veçantë përfaqësojnë edhe ikonat e vendosura në ikonostasin e praruar të kishës të cilat janë vepra të piktorit Joan Çetiri. Në vitrina janë të ekspozuara edhe disa tekstile dhe objekte metalike, të cilat dëshmojnë për një traditë artizanale të një niveli të lartë të trevës së Beratit. This museum contains a rich iconographic collection and some religious service items. It is organized in Virgin Mary cathedral, built in 1797 on the foundations of an older church with the same name. It bears the name of the most remarkable Albanian painter, Onufri, who left a very rich fund of iconographic creation. This museum complex is composed of the main nave, the altar area, and a series of auxiliary one-storey rooms in the north and two-storey ones in the west. The construction is distinguished for its high altitude, representing an important version of the cult architecture in the period from the 13th to the 19th century. The museum has three main halls, where the best works of the above-mentioned and others authors are displayed. Apart from the icons exhibited in the museum, the icons placed in the golden church iconostasis, made by the painter Joan Çetiri, comprise a particular series. Some textile and metal objects are displayed in glass cases, which give evidence of a very high-level handicraft tradition of Berat region. This museum was inaugurated in 1979. It includes Berat region and Southern Albania folk ethnographic culture. The museum is placed in a three-century two-storey building, typical for Berat area. The ground floor has a hall with an imitated medieval street with traditional shops on both sides. The antiquity pavilion and objects used to process olives are placed in this hall. In the second floor, there is an open balcony to receive guests. The archive, the loom, the village sitting room, the kitchen and the city sitting room come in a row in this floor. The most important element is the building of Saint Nicholas Cathedral itself, which is at the same time the seat of Lezha Assembly on 2 March 1444 and the grave of our National hero George Kastriot Scanderbeg on 17 January 1468. Important elements preserved today in this church are: Saint Nicolas original fresco, the church apse, the three windows and the original church door, the arch over the door and an original church decoration. This museum has also the outer sector, the archaeological environment with objects from Lezha ancient and medieval period, found around the museum.

National Arts Gallery is the most important institution of visual arts in our country. This collection consists of works from National Renaissance and Independence period (1883 – 1944) , a collection of icons belonging to the 13th – the 19th century, the biggest paintings and sculptures collection of Socialist Realism period (1944-1990), foreign artists pavilion and a collection of contemporary national and international art Temporary exhibitions are organized in the ground floor, mainly for the contemporary art. Në të mund të gjesh negativë me tema të ndryshme dhe figura po kaq të shumëllojshme, si pashallarë, vezirë, oficerë turq dhe deri konsuj të kombësive të ndryshme, italianë, francezë, austriakë, anglezë, rusë, grekë, serbë, figura nga Lufta e Parë dhe e Dytë Botërore dhe figura shqipëtarësh të rëndësishm si Luigj Gurakuqi, Fishta, Mjeda, Asdreni, Koliqi, Lasgush Poradeci, Migjeni, Azem e Shote Galica e shumë e shumë figura të tjera të rëndësishme të historisë sonë kombëtare. National Photo Gallery “Marubi” was created in 1970 after Gegë Marubi donated to the state his personal archive of three generations with about 150 thousand negatives. There are negatives of different formats from 30x40 to 6x9 in glass slabs, from 1858 to 1959. This is one of the richest photo galleries in the Balkans. One can find here vrious themes and a variety of figures, such as pashas, viziers, Turkish officers and consuls of different nationalities, Italians, French, Austrians, English, Russians, Greeks, Serbs, figures from the First and the Second World War and Albanian important figures, like Luigj Gurakuqi, Fishta, Mjeda, Asdreni, Koliqi, Lasgush Poradeci, Migjeni, Azem e Shote Galica and many other important figures of our national history. The archive has also many negatives with themes from ethnography, city planning culture monuments, history, market, navigation in Bunë, etc. Gegë Marubi, the last of Marubi dynasty, was a master of infrared portrait and landscape. Having learned it in France, where he carried out the studies, he was the first to use this process of photo development. This initiative was supported also by other Shkodra photographers, like Shan Pici, who worked in the city of Lezhë from 1924 to 1962. He donated to the state about 70 000 negatives of 18x24 and 4x6 format in glass slabs and celluloid films. Shani, as called by the people, was “the Highlands photographer”. The material that he donated has vari-

Në fondin e tij zbulojmë një larmi temash si histori, etnografi, urbanistikë, teatër e shumë të tjera të rëndësishme. Pjetër Rraboshta, që dhuroi rreth 3 mijë negative, quhet ndryshe edhe fotografi i fëmijëve dhe i manifestimeve të ndryshme që janë bërë në qytetin e Shkodrës në vitet nga 1959 deri në vitin 1975. Materiali i tij është në filma “Laika”, 24x36 mm. Angjelin Nënshati me bindje të plotë do ta quanim vazhduesi i fotografëve të traditës shkodrane. Ai dhuroi rreth 250 mijë poza. Materiali i tij është i fiksuar në filma “Laika”, 24x36 mm, dhe fillon në vitin 1959 deri në vitin 1984. His material is in ‘Laika’ films, 24x36mm and it starts in 1959 until 1984. His fund includes various topics like school, sports, medicine celebrations, etc.

Kjo ndërtesë ruan vlera arkitekturore të një banese dykatëshe qytetare vlonjate dhe është shpallur monument kulture. Muzeu ka tetë dhoma të pajisura me orendi origjinale të shek. të XIX. Në këtë muze janë të ekspozuara me dhjetëra objekte dhe relike autentike, dokumente, botime, vepra arti etj. Ndër mjediset më të rëndësishme të muzeut përmendim kabinetin e punës të Kryeministrit të parë shqiptar, Ismail Qemali, dhe sallën e mbledhjeve të Qeverisë Provizore. Vlen të përmendet fakti se në godinën e Muzeut të Pavarësisë, ka funksionuar për 6 muaj qeveria e shtetit të parë shqiptar. Shpallja e pavarësisë është moment kulmor në historinë e vendit tonë, moment në të cilin u afirmuan vlerat shtetformuese të popullit shqiptar. Në mjediset e këtij muzeu, janë ekspozuar shumë dokumente dhe objekte origjinale të kohës si flamuj, letërkëmbime origjinale të periudhës para shpalljes së pavarësisë dhe shumë objekte të tjera me vlera kulturore dhe historike. It is placed in the building where the first Albanian Government worked in 1913. It has preserved the construction values of an urban two-storey Vlora building and it was declared a cultural monument. This museum has eight rooms equipped with original 19th century furniture. Tens of authentic objects and relics, documents, editions, works of art, etc. are exhibited in this museum. Among the most important parts of this museum are the office of the first Albanian Prime Minister, Ismail Qemali and the Provisional Government Conference Room. It is worth mentioning that the government of the first Albanian state worked for six months in the Independence Museum building. Proclamation of independence is a culminating moment in our country’s history, when the state formation values of Albanian people were affirmed. Many original documents and items of the time like flags, correspondence of the period prior to the proclamation of independence and other objects of cultural and historic value are displayed in this museum. U krijua me nismën e arkeologut Vangjel Toçi, në vitin 1951, me materiale arkeologjike të mbledhura pas Luftës së Dytë Botërore si dhe nga disa gërmime të kryera gjatë viteve 1947-1950. Në vitin 1957 ndërtesës iu bënë disa shtesa të cilat bënë të mundur plotësimin e muzeut me pavjonet e historisë dhe të shkencave natyrore duke e kthyer atë me përmbajtje të përgjithshme. Në fund të viteve 60, rikthehet në muze të profilizuar arkeologjik duke iu shtuar edhe dy mjedise të tjera në formë portiku për ekspozimin e objekteve të mëdha (skluptura, relieve, kolonada, kapitele, sarkofage etj.). Gërmimet e përvitshme në Durrës kanë pasuruar vazhdimisht ekspozitën e muzeut në ndërtesën e re. Ekspozimi i materialit arkeologjik respekton në mënyrë të kombinuar kriteret e kronologjisë, tematikës dhe didaktikës. Ai jep një informacion të koncentruar për periudhat më të hershme të jetës së qytetit si ajo paraqytetare dhe e vjetër, ndërsa për periudhat klasike, helenistike, romake, antikitetin e vonë dhe mesjetën, ky informacion është më i detajuar. Hapësira përreth muzeut është ruajtur për objkte të mëdha prej guri e mermeri, në formën e një parku arkeologjik të organizuar sipas periudhave. (Epidamnus - Dyrrachium - Durres), inhabited uninterruptedly from the 7th century B.C. until present. It was created with the initiative of archaeologist Vangjel Toci in 1951 with archaeological material collected after the Second World War and some excavations carried out in 1947-1950. In 1957 the building was enlarged and it made possible the completion of the museum with history and natural sciences pavilions transforming it with a general content. At the end of the 60s it was restituted to a profiled archeological museum adding two other annexes in a portico form to exhibit big objects (sculptures, relief, colonnades, columns, sarcophagi, etc.). Annual excavations in Durrës have continuously enriched the displays in the new building. The archeological material display respects in a combined way the chronological, didactic and thematic criteria. It gives focused information on the earliest periods of city life, like the pre-urban and ancient one, and more detailed information about the classic, Hellenistic, Roman, Late Antiquity and Middle Ages. The space around the museum is preserved for big objects of stone and marble in the form of an archeological park organized according to the periods. The new exhibition of Durrës Archeological Museum was opened in 2002 and it represents the biggest archaeological museum in Albania. Ky muze u krijua në vitin 1985 në mjediset e dy ndërtesave karakteristike të arkitekturës popullore të zonës së Korçës të shek.19-të. Njëra shërben për ekspozitën dhe tjetra për fondet dhe shërbimet ndihmëse të muzeut. Muzeu i ofron publikut rezultatet e kërkimeve e studimeve arkologjike të rajonit më të pasur me vendbanime parahistorike, Shqipërisë Juglindore, e njohur në antikitet me emrin Dasaretia (sot zona e Korçës, Kolonjës dhe Pogradecit). Përveç trajtimit kronologjik –tematik të epokave neo-eneolitike, asaj të bronxit e hekurit, të cilat zënë pjesën më të madhe të ekspozimit, në mënyrë të koncentruar janë dhënë edhe gjetjet që lidhen me periudhën antike, antikitetin e vonë dhe mesjetën e këtyre trevave. Muzeu përmban rreth 1000 objekte të ekspozuara dhe një fond themeltar prej 8000 objektesh. Vazhdimi i gërmimeve sistematike në këtë rajon, pasuron çdo vit MPK me objekte të reja. Muzeu Parahistorik i Korçës si muze i profilit arkeologjik është i vetëm për temën që trajton.

The museum was created in 1985 in two characteristic buildings with folk architecture of Korçë area in the 19th century. One serves for the displays and the other serves for the fund and auxiliary services of the museum. The museum offers to the public the results of archeological researches and studies of the richest region in prehistoric dwellings, Southeastern Albania, known in Antiquity as Desaretia (nowadays area of Korçë, Kolonjë and Pogradec). Besides the chronological-thematic treatment of the neo-Neolithic, bronze and iron Ages, which occupy the largest part of displays, the finds of ancient period, late antiquity and Middle Age of these areas are displayed. 1000 displayed objects and 8000 objects in the main fund exist in the museum. Prehistoric museum of Korçë as a museum of archaeological profile, is unique for the theme it covers.

Ekspozita përmbante materialin arkeologjik të grumbulluar para e pas Luftës II Botërore. Zbulimet e reja që u kryen gjatë viteve 1958- 1960 bënë të mundur riorganizimin e ekspozitës së Muzeut, më 1961. Kërkimet sistematike arkeologjike të dhjetëvjeçarëve pasardhës në Apoloni , kërkuan ristrukturimin e tij disa herë, ku vend të veçantë zë ai i vitit 1985 kur MAA rikonceptohet tërësisht duke pasqyruar historinë e kulturën e qytetit nga lindja deri në rënien e tij. Visiting Hours: 800 – 1600 It was opened in 1958 in the premises of Saint Mary Monastery inside the city of Apollonia. The exhibition contains the archeological material collected before and after World War II. The new finds in 1958- 1960 made possible the reorganization of museum displays in 1961. The systematic archeological researches of the successive decades in Apollonia required its restructuring some times, special was that of 1985 when Archeological Museum of Apollonia was entirely reconceived reflecting the history and the culture of the city from its birth to its decline. The archeological material organization and display through the combination of the chronologic and thematic criterion giving different aspects of the city life, like its creation, relations wit Illyrians, the political organization, crafts, trade,

In 1996 the building for the archeological researches and studies was added to Apollonia Museum, another possibility to get to know how the new finds are realized, the contemporary means and methods of scientific research.

Visiting Hours: 800 – 1600 Address: national park of Butrinti This museum displays the archaeological finds of ancient Butrint and surrounding area. It was created in 1950 in the premises of a fortress of the Venetian period, in the city acropolis. Initially the museum displayed the objects found by the Italian Archaeological Mission in the period between two World Wars in Butrint which was spared from the destructions of world war II. The beginning of the systematic excavations by albanain archaeologists in this city increased sensitively the archaeological objects and monuments which were displayed between some Museum reconstructions, especially that of 1988, when it took its most complete shape. In summer 2005 the museumwas renovated and enriched with finds discovered by the joint excavations of Archaeology Institute and Butrinti Foundation since 1994. The reopening of the museum was made possible by the sup-

port and the financial contribution of the Archaeology Institute, Butrinti Foundation, Leventis Foundation and Butrinti National Park. The city history, with its birth, development and its decline is shown by archaeological objects and written documents of ancient authors. The presentation of other smaller inhabited centers around Butrint clarifies better the conditions of Butrint city rise and flourishing during Antiquity and Roman period. Within the Antiquity period, a special place is occupied by the display of monetary circulation and the numerous inscriptions in Butrint that speak about the social and political organization of the city in Late Antiquity and a part is dedicated to Byzantine period where the show cases and the panels display the shrinking of the city and its transformation into a religious centre. The material exposed in the museum, the great number of monuments discovered and well-preserved and the pictoresque environment with the respective explaining tables, increase a lot the information received by the visitor. All the content of the museum is explained on the basis of three criteria: the chronologic criterion, which aims to introduce the development of the city in various periods, beginning from deep prehistory (Stone Age) until its fall during the Middle Age; thematic criterion, which introduces aspects of everyday economic and social life, such as crafts, trade, relations with the region and Mediterranean, art, cult, education, etc, and the didactic criterion, which is implemented by introducing panels, maps, drawings, models, three dimensional reconstruction of main monuments, etc. As such, the Archeological Museum of Butrint is a museum of contemporary standards and very special in its field.

It was opened on 1.11.1948 as an Archeological Ethnographic Museum and continued as such until 1976, when the ethnographic pavilion was organized as a profiled archeological museum. This museum presents the researches and archeological finds in time from the Stone Age until the metal age (bronze and iron), when the Illyrian civilization rose, antiquity and late antiquity and Middle Age until the Ottoman invasion. The intensive archaeological researches in the field of prehistory, antiquity and Middle Age in the later period, made possible a series of reorganizations and reconstructions for this museum (1957, 1976, 1982, 1985, 1998) for the further improvement of the content and display. The museum gives full information on the earliest ancient dwellings in Albania, especially on the periods when the process of Illyrian tribes’ formation takes place. It also provides summarized information on Late Antiquity and early Middle Age when the transition from

XVIII. Elbasanasit e njohin si shtëpia e “Sejdinëve”. Ajo është një shtëpi e cila, nga mënyra e ndërtimit dhe arkitektura, është e veçantë në llojin e vet në trevën e Elbasanit. Në planin kompozicional dhe në përgjithësi me konceptimin e saj funksional dhe arkitektonik, kjo banesë, u ngjan shumë banesave me çardak që gjenden në zonën e Beratit dhe të Shkodrës. Banesa përbëhet nga dy kate. Kati i parë përdorej si magazinë e produkteve bujqësore dhe përbëhet nga këto mjedise : 1. Koridori; 2. Dhoma e leshrave; 3. Dhoma e metaleve; 4. Dhoma e tabakëve; Kati i dytë, ka qenë përdorur si vend banimi dhe përbëhet nga këto mjedise 1. Koridori; 2. Dhoma e punës e vajzave; 3. Dhoma e grave; 4. Dhoma e burrave; 5. Dhoma e nuses dhe dhëndrit; Kjo banesë, është restauruar nga Instituti i Monumenteve të Kulturës në vitet 1983-1985 dhe në vitin 1986 mjediset e saj u përshtatën në muze etnografik. Në fondet e këtij muzeu ruhen rreth 900 objekte origjinale të kulturës popullore dhe etnografisë.

Elbasani people recognize it as ‘Sejdins’ house. The house is specific regarding construction technique and architecture in Elbasan region. From the composition point of view, it is quite similar to the houses with a balcony found in the city of Berat and Shkodra. The house has two storeys. The ground floor was used as a store for agricultural products, it consists of:

Oso Koka, Nr 12 Muzeu Historik i Shkodrës, themeluar në vitin 1947, është vendosur në qendër të qytetit, në shtëpinë e Oso Kukës, një banesë karakteristike e mesit të shekullit XIX, me vlera të veçanta etnografike. Banesa qytetare shkodrane e tipit me çardak, përbën një nga realizimet më të përkryera në tipologjinë e banesës tradicionale shqiptare. Ajo është arkiv i vërtetë i jetës së banorëve të qytetit më të rëndësishëm të Shqipërisë së Veriut, bazuar në tregtinë, artizanatin dhe prodhimin bujqësor-blegtoral. Banesa me përmasa të mëdha përbëhet prej dy katesh, ku kati përdhes (hajati dhe hauret) shërbente tradicionalisht si depo për mjetet e punës dhe rezervat ushqimore të familjes, ndërsa kati sipër për familjarët. Në një shkallare prej guri të një stili të qëndrueshëm dhe elegant, ngjitesh në katin e sipërm, në një mjedis të hapur dhe të gjerë, me konstruksion druri (çardak) që kryente disa funksione, sidomos për proceset e punimeve tekstile, të mëndafshit, të leshit dhe për ceremoni familjare, si dasmat e festat fetare. Përmes këtij mjedisi bëhet komunikimi i drejtëpërdrejtë me secilën prej katër dhomave. Dhomat si nga ana funksionale ashtu edhe artistike janë trajtuar me një kujdes të vecantë. Elementet e tyre më interesante janë: oxhaku monumental, tavani, dritaret në dy nivele, kthina në formë lozhe (trapazani), raftet e murit( açikraftet) dhe sirtaret përgjatë mureve (sergjitë), të gjitha të zbukuruara me motive floreale dhe simbolikë të pasur e origjinale. Edhe më interesante shtëpinë e bën porta e jashtme monumentale, oborri i gjerë e i gjelbëruar me pusin e lugun e gdhendur në gur, si dhe ekspozimi i mjaft objekteve arkeologjike (kolona, kapitele, stela varresh e elemente të ndryshme arkitekturore). Banesa, së bashku me aksesorët e jahtëm të saj, rrethohet prej muresh të lartë guri mbuluar me shermashek.

Oso Koka, Nr 12 It was founded in 1947, placed in the center of the city, in the house of Oso Kuka, a traditional house of the 19th century, with special ethnographic values. The traditional Shkodra house with an open balcony represents one the most perfect realizations traditional Albanian houses typology. It is a real archive of the inhabitants’ life of the most important Northern Albanian city, based on trade, craftworks and agricultural-livestock production. The building is a two-storey house of big dimensions, where the ground floors (the galleries) were used as cellars for tools and family reserve food, whereas the upper floor was used for the family members. It is accessible by some stone stairs of elegant and stable style, which lead to a open space of wood construction (‘çardak’ = balcony), which had many functions, especially for processes of the textile, silk and wool works and family celebrations, like weddings and religious celebrations. The four rooms can be accessed directly from the ‘balcony’. The rooms have been treated with a special care either functionally or artistically. Their most interesting elements are: the monumental chimney, the ceiling, the windows in two levels, the niche in a balcony form (trapazan), the wall shelves (açikraft) and drawers along the walls (sergji), all decorated with floral motives and rich original symbols. The house becomes more interesting by the outer monumental gate, the large and green courtyard, with the well, the trough carved in stone, and the many archaeological objects displayed (columns, capitals, grave steles and various architectonic elements). The building and its outside annexes are surrounded by high stonewalls covered by ivy.

Muzeu etnografik ndodhet në një ndërtesë karakteristike qytetare vlonjate, e cila, për nga koha e ndërtimit, i përket mesit të shekullit të XIX. Përsa u përket vlerave historike, në këtë ndërtesë, në vitin 1908, u krijua Klubi patriotik “Labëria”, që luajti një rol të rëndësishëm në fazën përgatitore të shpalljes së Pavarësisë. “ Kryetar nderi” i këtij klubi u zgjodh Ismail Qemali. Duke qenë se ruante vlera historike – ndërtimore, kjo ndërtesë më 27.11.1982, u përshtat në Muze etnografik. Në mjediset e këtij muzeu ruhen rreth 300, objekte ,të gjitha këto me vlera të mirëfillta në fushën e veshjes, të punimeve të drurit, të metalit, të shtrojeve dhe qeramikës. Në numrin e madh të objekteve dhe shumëllojshmërinë e tyre përmendim: këmisha dhe jeleku i Kaninës prej një periudhe më se 150 vjeçare, veshje grash më se një shekullore, sixhade e velenxa të punuara para 80-90 vjetësh, punime në filigranë, objekte përdorimi druri të punuara nga mjeshtra popullorë të krahinës së Vlorës etj. Krahas këtyre objekteve të lartpërmendura , në këtë muze gjenden edhe mjaft relike të kohës.

The Ethnographic museum is situated in a traditional Vlora house, the construction of which dates back to the middle of 19th century. With regard to the historical values, the Patriotic Club “Laberia” was established in 1908; it played an important role in the preparatory phase for proclamation of Independence. Ismail Qemali was the elected the ‘honor chairman’ of this club. Bearing historic and construction values, this house was adapted to an Ethnographic Museum on 27.11.1982. The collection of this museum consists of about 300 objects of authentic values in thefield of clothes, woodworks, metalwork, carpets and ceramics. In the great number and variety of objects we may mention: the shirt and waistcoat of Kanina, 150 years old, women clothes, more than one century old, rugs, carpets worked out 80-90 years ago, filigree works, utility wooden objects worked by handicraft masters of Vlorë region, etc. Besides the above-mentioned objects, many relics of the time are also found in this museum.

Muzeu i armëve, gjendet në një nga qendrat më të rëndësishme të trashëgimisë kulturore shqiptare, në Kalanë e Gjirokastrës. Në fondin e këtij muzeu të rëndësishëm për historinë dhe kulturën shqiptare gjenden rreth 1060 armë origjinale të epokave të ndryshme duke filluar nga ajo e gurit, hekurit, bronxit, mesjetës, Luftës italo-greke, Luftës së Parë Botërore, Luftës së Dytë Botërore si dhe armë të tjera të gjetura në territorin e Shqipërisë. Ndodhen gjithashtu edhe armë të rënda të kalibrave të ndryshëm, tanke, topa, mortaja etj. Në fondet e këtij muzeu janë të arkivuara edhe shumë piktura, skulptura, makete të shtëpive kullë si dhe shumë veshje karakteristike të luftëtarëve shqiptarë. Ky muze është përuruar si i tillë më 29.11.1971, brenda kalasë së qytetit. Kati i dytë ka shërbyer si burg, i ndërtuar në vitin 1923. Mjediset e këtij burgu ruhen edhe sot në gjendje të tillë dhe shërbejnë si pjesë përbërëse e këtij muzeu.

The Museum of Weapons is situated in one of the most important culture heritage centers of Albania, in the Fortress of Gjirokastra. Some 1060 original weapons are found in this important museum for Albanian culture and history starting from the stone age, iron age, bronze age, Middle Age, ItalianGreek War, First World War and Second World War, as well as other weapons found in Albanian territory. Heavy weapons of various calibers such as tanks, canons, mortars, etc. are found here. The fund of this museum has also many paintings, sculptures, models of tour houses and many traditional clothes of Albanian warriors. This museum was inaugurated on 29.11.1971 inside the city’s castle. The first floor served as a prison, built in 1923; it is preserved as it was and it is an integral part of the museum.

Në këtë muze ndodhet edhe maketi i punishtes së barutit, karakteristikë kjo zotëruese për këtë krahinë. Është një muze i cili po pasurohet me fonde të reja nga dita në ditë.

The Historical Museum of Mat district with the centre in Burrel city was established in November1967. It is placed in an adapted building in the city center, it has these pavilions: the Antiquity pavilion, with the periods of Neolithic Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Illyrian urban culture and the early medieval culture closing in the 7the century. The Middle Age pavilion which includes the mini pavilion of Princedom, Arber State, Kastriots’ Princedom, George Kastriot Scanderbeg, Mat Assemblies, Pjeter Budi and Resistance against Tanzimati Reforms. The museum displays also a powder workshop model, which was a prevailing characteristic in this area. The museum is daily enriched with new objects.

Muzeu i rrethit Dibër, është krijuar dhe funksionon si institucion që nga viti 1964, në fillim si një pavion dhe në vitet në vazhdim duke u zgjeruar. Pas vitit 1998 Muzeu u riorganizua me të gjitha pavionet e tij, si ai arkeologjik, historik dhe etnografik duke ekspozuar një pjesë të madhe të vlerave që gjenden në fondet e tij. Muzeu i Dibrës ka në fonde rreth 2000 objekte me mjaft vlera, disa prej të cilave janë shumë të rralla duke filluar nga ato arkeologjike, si fibula, pitosa, kapitele, çekiç guri, vegla pune stralli, enë të ndryshme prej balte, armë zjarri, shpata, objekte personale të figurave historike dhe një pasuri të madhe etnografike, që nga objekte blegtorale, bujqësore, të guzhinës dhe deri te veshjet e llojeve të ndryshme të krahinave të Dibrës. Vlen për t’u përmendur se 80 % e objekteve, që ruhen në fondet e këtij muzeu, janë origjinale.

After 1998 the Museum was reorganized in all its pavilions like the archaeological, historic, and ethnographic pavilion displaying a large part of the values that exist in its fund. Dibër Museum has 2000 objects with a lot of values, some of which are very rare, starting from the archaeological ones such as fibula, pitosa, capitals, stone hammer, flint tools, various earthen utensils, fire weapons, swords, personal objects of historical figures and a great ethnographic property, from livestock, agriculture, kitchen objects up to clothes of various kinds from Dibër region. It is worth mentioning that 80% of the objects, preserved in this museum, are original.

Zguraj Muzeu etnografik i Kavajës i përuruar në nëntor të vitit 1971, u vendos në një banesë të restauruar, me hajat, tipi i së cilës shfaqet në përhapje të gjerë në shekullin XVIII, teksa gjeneza arkitekturore e saj e ka fillesën në antikitetin e vonë, në tipologjinë e “vilea rustica”, të mirënjohur në zonën e Kavajës. Pas restaurimit të banesës, tanimë muzeale, asaj iu dha statusi i monumentit kulturor. Ajo iu shtua grupit të monumenteve të kulturës të Kavajës si kalaja e Bashtovës (shek. XII-XIV), kisha e Çetës (shek. XIII) ura mesjetare e Bukaqit, kulla e Sahatit të qytetit (1817) etj. Grupi drejtues,që programoi orientimin konceptual dhe realizimin e mirëfilltë të muzeut etnografik, përbëhej nga autoritetet më të shquara të kohës në studimet etnografike . Përmbajtja muzeale u përqëndrua në tri aspekte: stilistika arkitekturore e ngrehinës dhe funksionet e ndarjeve kompozicionale, vizioni i sistemit të shtëpisë së zjarrit, odës së fjetjes dhe të miqve dhe fondi i përgjithshëm etnografik. Karakteristika më e rëndësishme e fondit të përgjithshëm muzeal përcaktohet nga shumëllojshmëria e objekteve dhe mozaiku i larmishëm etnografik i prejardhjes së tyre. Përveç prodhimeve nga zejet përfaqësuese të Kavajës si punimi i qeramikës, bakrit, tekstileve, origjina e një pjese të madhe të këtij fondi piketohet në koordinatat gjeoetnografike të veriut, verilindjes dhe jugut të Shqipërisë. Elementet e veshjeve popullore nga këto treva dallohen për nivelin e finesës mjeshtërore të trajtimit, për pasurinë e leksionit ornamentosimbolik të figurave gjeometrike, zoomorfe, dhe antropomorfe.

Zguraj Ethnographic Museum of Kavaje, inaugurated in 1971, was placed in a restored building with hajat (gallery), the type of which is widespread in the 18th century, whereas its architectonic origin is in the late antiquity, in the typology of “vilae rustica”, well knownin Kavaje area. After the restoration of the building, which is a museum now, it was given the cultural monument status. It added to Kavajë cultural monuments group like Bashtova Fortress (12th -14th century), Çeta church (13th century), medieval bridge of Bukaqi, the city Clock Tower (1817), etc. The managing group which programmed the conceiving orientation and the real realization of the ethnographic museum was composed of the most distinguished authorities of the time in the ethnographic studies. The museum content is concentrated on three aspects: architectural stylistics of the building and the functions of the compositional divisions, the vision of the system of a house with fireplace, sleeping room and guests’ room and the general ethnographic fund. The main characteristic of the general museum fund is defined by the variety of the objects and the variegated ethnographic mosaic of their origin. Besides the products of Kavajë representing crafts, like works in ceramic, copper, textiles, the origin of a large part of this fund is traced back to the Northern, Northeastern and Southern Albania geo-ethnographic coordination. The elements of the traditional suits from these regions are distinguished for the level masterly finesse in treatment, for the richness of ornaments and symbols merged in geometric, zoomorphic and anthropomorphic forms.

U hap në vitin 1975. Në ndërtesën ku ndodhet edhe sot, shtëpi karakteristike durrsake e gjysmës së dytë të shek.XIX, shtëpi ku ka kaluar një pjesë të fëmijërisë së tij aktori i madh i skenës Aleksandër Moisiu, ky muze u vendos në vitin 1983. Kjo banesë, gjendet në qëndër të qytetit, pranë amfitetatrit dhe është një objekt që paraqit vlera të rëndësishme etnografike. Në njërën nga dhomat e muzeut paraqitet jeta e aktorit Aleksandër Moisiu dhe një pjesë e krijimtarisë artistike të tij. Në një mjedis tjetër, të traditave e kostumeve popullore, paraqitet në mënyrë të organizuar, jo vetëm kostumografinë e rrethit të Durrësit, por edhe e ngulimeve të tjera në këtë trevë, si asaj kosovare, çame etj. Pavioni me organizimin që ka, të jep menjëherë të dhëna mbi artin e punimit të vegjeve të krahinës. Pavioni tjetër, ai i traditës popullore artizanale, paraqit objekte artizanale të traditës në vazhdim dhe mjeshtërinë e kahershme të kësaj treve në punimet artistike të disa llojeve.

Koloneli Tomson It was opened in 1975, in a traditional Durrës building of 19th century’s second half, where the famous actor of the stage Alexander Moisiu passed his childhood, this museum was placed in 1983. This building is situated in the city centre close to Durres Amphitheatre and it is an objects which presents important ethnographic values. The life of the actor Alexander Moisiu and some of his artistic creations are displayed in one of the museum rooms. In another part, that of the folk traditions and suits, the traditional suits Durrës region and other settlements, like Kosovar and Çam suits are displayed in an organized way. The organization of the pavilion gives immediately data on the art of loom works in the region. The other pavilion that of the traditional folk crafts presents successive traditional craftworks and the early mastery of this area in artistic works of some kinds

Në këtë godinë, ndodhen edhe Galeria e Artit dhe Biblioteka e qytetit. Muzeu Historik, ka disa pavione, ndër të cilët përmendim, Pavionin e Lashtësisë dhe atë të kulturës popullore. Në pavionin e lashtësisë, paraqiten kërkimet dhe zbulimet arkeologjike kohore nga epokat e gurit, tek ato të metaleve (bronxit e hekurit), antikitetin, si edhe antikitetin e vonë e mesjetën deri në pushtimin osman. Në mënyrë të përmbledhur paraqitet në muze edhe periudha e Antikitetit të Vonë, të Mesjetës së hershme, kur realizohet kalimi nga ilirët tek arbërit. Gjithashtu i rëndësishëm në këtë muze është edhe pavioni i kulturës popullore, në të cilin jepet një pamje e plotë e zejeve të ushtruara në Myzeqe dhe në të gjithë Shqipërinë, si edhe mënyra e jetesës e banorit të këtyre zonave. Në të gjejmë objekte prej qeramike, druri, guri, hekuri, pambuku, mëndafshi, leshi, qëndisma të ndryshme të ekspozuara me finesë. Në këtë pavion, gjithashtu, gjejmë të ekspozuara, kostume popullore tradicionale të zonës si edhe makete të jetës dhe të punës së fshatarit myzeqar. Në sallat e muzeut shpesh gjejmë edhe ekspozita të përkohëshme të cilat pasurojnë brendinë e tij.

The Historic Museum of Lushnja, inaugurated in 1988, is placed in a nice building in the center of the city. The Gallery of Arts and the Library of the city are situated in this very building. The Museum consists of some pavilions such as that of Antiquity and of Popular Culture. The Antiquity pavilion is represented by objects which pertain to Stone Age, Metall (bronze and iron) Age, Antiquity, Late Antiquity, Medieval Age up to the Ottoman invasion. The pavilion of popular culture is one of the most important of the museum, giving a full knowledge of the handicrafts of the region of Myzeqe and Albania as well as the way of living of that time. Some ceramic, wooden, stone, iron, cotton, silk, wool objects can be found in the museum along with some embroidery delicately hand made works. Some traditional suits of the period along with decoys of way of living and working of Myzeqeja peasants, are also displayed in the museum. Some temporary exhibitions are opened time after time in the Museum which enrich its content.

Vetë ndërtesa me arkitekturën e saj të jashtme e të brëndshme e volumet e mëdha është shumë tërheqëse për vizitorët. Shkallarja e brendshme prej guri, çatia e lartë me qemer, ndarja e kateve me elemente prej druri dhe përdorimi i parmakëve prej hekuri të rrahur shprehin më së miri traditën e hershme ndërtimore lokale. Në dy sallat e mëdha, që zënë plotësisht katin e parë dhe të dytë të saj, janë ekspozuar objekte të shumta muzeore që paraqitin historinë e lashtë e të lavdishme të kështjellës. Në katin përdhes, në ballë një basoreliev i punuar mjeshtërisht nga një autor shkodran, paraqit legjendën e famshme të themelimit të qytetit, sipas së cilës nëna e re shkodrane vetësakrifikohet, duke u murosur për së gjalli në muret e qytetit, që ato të qëndronin përjetësisht. Në vitrinat e panelet e kësaj salle janë sistemuar me shije objekte arkeologjike, si enë e fragmente enësh prej qeramike të periudhave të ndryshme parahistorike, antike e mesjetare, më të vjetrat prej të cilave janë ato të epokës së bronzit të hershëm (2000 vjet p.e.s.), kur nisi jeta mbi këtë kodër. Gjithashtu aty paraqiten mjaft objekte të tjera metalike si vegla pune, armë, stoli e monedha, zbuluar në kohë të ndryshme mbi kodër ose në gërmimet arkeologjike të realizuara poshtë saj, ku shtrihej qyteti antik e mesjetar. Një interes të veçantë ngjallin tek vizitori gjylet prej guri të përmasave të ndryshme, më të mëdhatë e të cilave peshojnë mbi 400 kg. që u përdorën në dy rrethimet osmane për pushtimin e kështjellës në fund të shek XV. Gjithashtu, në këtë sallë janë paraqitur bustet e tre mbretërve ilirë: Bardhylit, Teutës, e Gentit, punime gjithashtu të një skulptori shkodran. Përballë tyre janë ekspozuar anijet–maket të tipit “lembos” të njhura në botën romake, si dhe prej atyre tregtare të shek. XVIII. Në sallën e katit të parë janë sistemuar materiale historike mesjetare e më tej, flamuj të vjetër kombëtarë, objekte të përdorimit të përditshëm, armë prerëse e armë zjarri, të zbukuruara me shije nga argjendarët shkodranë, por edhe armë të huaja , deri tek armët e vjetra të artilierisë-trofe lufte. Gjithashtu, vizitori mund të njihet me historinë e qytetit, ngjarje të ndryshme e personalitete të rëndësishme, përmes gravurave, riprodhimeve të dokumentave arkivore e të veprave të artit të kohëve të ndyshme. Në qendër të sallës është vendosur një maket i madh i kështjellës dhe rrethinat e saj me pazarin e famshëm të qytetit.

THE MUSEUM OF THE FORTRESS

The museum is situated in the third courtyard of the “Rozafa” fortress and placed in the Venetian captain’s building. The building itself, being constructed carefully in its interiors and exteriors, with big spaces inside, constitutes an attraction for all visitors. The internal stone staircase, the high vaulted roof, the separation of floors by wooden elements and the hand iron rail, are evidence of the best construction techniques of that time. Numerous objects which prove the ancient and glorious history of the fortress are placed in the two big halls of respectively first and second floor. A big bass-relief placed in the front in the ground floor displays the famous legend of foundation of the city, according to which, a young mother from Shkodra is self- sacrificed by being immured alive in the walls of the city, so as they could survive eternally. Archaeological objects such as ceramic vessels of different periods, from prehistory, early bronze ages to medieval ages, are displayed in the showcases of the same floor, as evidence of the early settlements of first inhabitants of the hill. Some metallic objects such as utensils, weapons, trimmings, and coins discovered in different periods on the top of the hill and in the hillside where the antic and medieval city was initially settled. Two canon balls of different dimensions weighting 400 kg each, used by the Turkish invaders to conquer the fortress and the city by the end of the 15th century, are particularly interesting objects to the visitor. The statues of the three Illyrian kings: Bardhyli, Teuta, and Genti, masterpieces of a painter from Shkodra, are placed in the same hall. Some decoys of well known roman“lembos” ships are placed in front of the statues Some historical evidences such as old national flags, utensils, fire weapons, weapons from abroad, old artillery weapons, ornamented with silver by Shkodra’s craftsman. The visitor can also be introduced to the history of the city by exploring the documents, gravure, art works of different periods. A decoy of the fortress and its surroundings together with the old bazaar is placed in the centre of the hall.

MUZEU VANGJUSH MIO

Për arsye shëndetësore, ai nuk e vazhdoi gjimnazin. Shkoi në Bukuresht pranë të vëllait ku punoi dhe, në vitin 1915, u regjistrua në degën e pikturës të shkollës së Arteve të Bukura të Bukureshtit, të cilën e mbaroi në vitin 1919. Po atë vit Vangjush Mio hapi të parën ekspozitë vetjake, ku spikati prirja e tij për peizazhin. Në vitin 1920, kur u kthye në atdhe, ai hapi në Korçë një ekspozitë vetjake, e para e këtij lloji në këtë qytet. Më vonë, ai, u regjistrua në Institutin e Arteve të Bukura të Romës, ku u njoh edhe me kryeveprat e arkitekturës dhe artit klasik. Në vitin 1924, ai dha provimet e fundit në Romë, ku fitoi licencën e piktorit dhe të restauratorit. Pasi u kthye përfundimisht në Shqipëri më 1924, ai hapi një studio në shtëpinë e tij dhe njëkohësisht punonte si mësues i vizatimit. Vangjushi, thuajse iu kushtua tërësisht peisazhit. Fondi i krijimtarisë së tij erdhi gjithmonë duke u pasuruar. Ai hapi ekspozita vetjake në Tiranë dhe në Korcë dhe tregoi se kishte formuar individualitetin e tij krijues. Subjektet e tablove të tij ishin mjediset karakteristike nga Korça dhe fusha e saj, nga Pogradeci dhe liqeni i Ohrit, si dhe nga Elbasani e Durrësi. Piktura e tij është e qartë dhe dekorative. Në vitet 30, tematika e peizazheve të tij u zgjerua me motive nga vende historike, duke u prirur drejt modelimit plastik të formave. Pas Çlirimit, ai punoi si mësues vizatimi në gjimnazin e Korcës, por udhëtonte shumë nëpër atdhe dhe pikturat e tij trajtonin motive nga krahina e qytete të tjera si Berati, Vlora. Gjithashtu ai lëvroi edhe gjininë e peisazhit tematik. Për të fundit herë, ai mori pjesë në ekspozitën kombëtare të hapur në Tiranë në nëntor 1957, thuajse një muaj para se të vdiste, më 30 dhjetor të po atij viti. Nga krijimtaria e Vangjush Mios njihen më shumë se 400 piktura, në ngjyrë vaji, peisazhe, natyra të qeta, portrete, si dhe shumë vizatime, të cilat shquhen për vlerën artistike dhe stilin origjinal. Shtëpia dhe studio ku ai punoi në Korçë, sot janë kthyer në muze të Vangjush Mios, piktor i popullit.

His drawings of 1906 are evidence of his passion for painting when he was in the secondary school, which he could not finish because of ill health. In 1908 his brother took him in Bucharest where he had emigrated earlier. He entered in the School of Fine Arts of Bucharest in painting branch in 1915 and he graduated from his school in 1919. In that same year Vangjush Miho put on his first personal, exhibition which made his talent for landscape painting known to general public. Upon his return to Albania in 1920 he put on Korca another personal exhibition, which was the first of this kind in the country. Later he entered in the Institute of Fine Arts in Rome an institute in the academic tradition. In 1924 he got a scholarship from the state and he went to Rome again, where he sat his last exams for the diploma of painter and restorer of paintings. Upon his final return o the homeland in 1924, Vangjush Miho put up a studio in his house where he continued to draw and paint without interrupting his work as a teacher of drawing. Vangush Miho was engaged almost totally in landscapes. In the meantime the number of his paintings constantly grew. He had already formed his personality as an artist. The subjects of his paintings were mainly the characteristic surroundings of Korca and its plain, of Pogradec and the Ohri Lake, of Elbasan and Durres. His painting became clearer and more decorative in style. Vangjush Miho greeted with joy the liberation he continued his work as a teacher of drawing for a few more years in the secondary school in Korca., and he traveled around the country and did many painting with motifs from various regions and cities such as Berat, Vlora, ecc. The last time he took part in a national exhibition in Tirana was November 1957, only one month before he died on December 30 of the same year. His works includes more than 400 oil paintings, landscapes, still-lifes, portraits, as well as many drawings which are outstanding for their artistic values and original style. His house and his studio in Korca have been turned into a museum and he has the title “People’s Painter”

Kongresi Kombëtar, i Lushnjes u mbajt më 27 janar të vitit 1920-të, në shtëpinë e patriotit lushnjar Kaso Fuga. Në komgres morën pjesë delegatë të zgjedhur nga e gjithë Shqipëria. Qëllimi i mbajtjes së këtij kongresi, ishte studimi i situatës së brendëshme e të jashtëme të vendit dhe masat që duhet të merreshin. Kongresin e hapi Ferit Vokopola, përfaqsues i Prefekturës së Beratit, Lushnjes dhe Skraparit, i cili i uroi delegatët për ardhjen. . Mbas ceremonisë së hapjes, u bë ndarja e deputetëve në komisione , të cilat filluan menjëherë punën. Në mbledhjen e dytë të kongresit, më datën 28 janar, u zgjodh Kryetar i Kongresit Aqif Pashë Elbasani. Mbledhja e tretë, më 30 Janar, vendosi mbas shumë diskutimesh që të bëheshin protesta të ashpëra, kundër vendimit të Fuqive të mëdha, për zbatimin e Paktit të fshehtë të Londrës, i cili ishte mbajtur më 26 prill të vitit 1915-të, pakt i cili sanksiononte coptimin e Shqipërisë. Pas këtij vendimi, mbledhja analizoi qëndrimin e qeverisë së Durrësit . Nga kjo analizë u nxuarr si konkluzion se kjo qeveri , e kishte futur vendin në një anarki të madhe duke çuar në krijimin e një situate të acaruar politike. Nisur nga këto, ajo qeveri ishte përpjekur me çdo kusht për ta penguar mbajtjen e Kongresit të Lushnjes. Për këtë arsye, kongresi vendosi unanimisht rrëzimin e qeverisë së Durrësit, e njëkohësisht zgjodhi imzot Luigj Bumçin, Mehmet Konicën dhe Dr. Turtullin, si përfaqsues legjitimë të popullit shqiptar, në delegacionin e Konferencës së Paqes në Paris. Në mbledhjen e katërt që u mbajt më pomë 30 Janar, kongresi zgjodhi si antarë të Këshillit të Lartë, imzot Luigji Bumçin, Aqif Pashë Elbasanin, Abdi Toptanin dhe Dr. Turtullin. Pas kësaj u zgjodh dhe përbërja e qeverisë së re, e cila kryesohej nga kryeministri Sulejman Delvina. Në atë qevri u zgjodhën Ahmet Zogu, Ministër i Brendshëm, Mehmet Konica, Ministër i Punëve të Jashtëme, Hoxhë Kadria, Ministër i Drejtësisë, Ndoc Çoba, Ministër i Financave, Sotir Peci, Ministër i Arsimit, Ali Riza Kolonja, Ministër i Luftës, Eshref Frashëri, Drejtor i Përgjithshëm i Punëve Botore dhe Idhomene Kosturi, Drejtori Përgjithshëm i Postë-telegrafave. Në mbledhjen e pestë që u mbajt më 31 Janar pasdite, kongresi zgjodhi anëtarët e Senatit dhe u vendos që delegatët të mos shpërndaheshin derisa qeveria të merrte në dorë frenat e shtetit. Pas kësaj mbledhje, atë pasdreke të 31 janarit të vitit 1920-të, kongresi u dha fund punimeve të tija, duke shpallur Tiranën, kryeqytet të Shqipërisë. The National Congress of Lushnja was held on 27th January of 1920, in the house of a distinguished patriot of Lushnja, Kaso Fuga. Delegates from all Albania attended the Congress. The Congress was opened up by Ferit Vokopola, who welcomed the participants. The purpose of convening the Congress was the evaluation of the internal and external situation of the country and the measures to be taken. In the second meeting of the Congress, on 28 January, Aqif Pashw Elbasani was elected Chairmain of the Congress. The decision for organizing strong protests against the decision of the Great Powers on the implementation of the Secret Pact of London, held on 26 April 1915, which approved the territorial cutting into pieces piecing of Albania, was taken on the third meeting on 30 January. The meeting evaluated the attitude of the Government of Durres and concluded that the Government had provoked an anarchy and tried to prevent the convention of the Congress itself, creating thus very a aggravated situation. For this reason the Congress decided unanimously the falling down of the Government and elected Luigj Bumci, Mehmet Konica and Dr. Turtulli as legitimate representatives of the Albanian people in the Conference of Paris. The fourth meeting, held on 30th of January, congress elected the High Council Luigji Bumci, Aqif Pashe Elbasanin, and Dr. Turtulli followed by the proclamation of the new Government headed by Sulejman Delvina. Ahmet Zogu was elected as Minister of Internal Affairs, Mehmet Konica as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoxhe Kadria as Minister of Justise, Ndoc Coba as Minister of Finance, Sotir Peci as Minister of Education, Ali Riza Kolonja as Minister of War, Eshref Frasheri as General Director of Public Works and Idhomene Kosturi as General Director of Posts and Telegraphs. The fifth meeting held on 31st January afternoon, the Congress elected the members of Senate and decided the non dispersion of the Congress until the new Government had fully begun to exercise its powers. That same afternoon, the Congress proclaimed Tirana as capital city of Albania. During the time the Congress was held, the former Government of Durres tried with all means to prevent the implementation of the decisions of the Congress, supporting even the Italian army forces which were still in Albania. The convention of the Congress was considered by them a movement of adventurers prepared to attack the current government forces and delegates to be established in Tirana, proclaimed as capital of Albania.
