Glossary Arpeggio: the notes of a chord played individually.
Measure: small sections of written music separated by vertical lines
Bi-Dextral Hammer-on: two handed technique where both Melody: single notes played in a row hands fret notes on the neck. A.K.A. Tapping. Chord: a group of three or more notes played simultaneously. Chromatic: a group of notes that are a half step apart (one fret) played in succession
Modes: scales that are built off of degrees of a scale Passing Tone: a type of connecting note, not always belonging to the scale being used.
Rhythm: the speed, length and time in which music is Flat: a symbol that is used to lower a note or chord one half played. step (one fret) Root Note: the note that represents a scale or chords name Harmonics: chime-like notes played by lightly touching the (the most important note) string above certain frets. Scale: a group of notes all belonging to the same key Improvising: creating your own style by expanding on basic ideas. Sharp: symbol used to raise a note or chord one half step
