Purpose

__ 1.

To enable the installation of the Oversize HCF on a Xerox 4110/4590 Family machine. This optional Tray is an option to the dual HiCap Feeder accessory, and increases the 4110/4590’s oversize paper stock handling capacity.

Attach the OHCF OHCF to the Xerox 4110/4590 (Refer to the Installation Section in EDOC).

__ 2.

Release the (2) rail locks and pull the Paper Tray out to the Service Position. (Figure 1)

Remove the following; (Figure 2) a) Top Rear Bracket (remove 2 screws)

System Software V3.0 (Plus OHCF Patch): # 701P45842 or higher

Procedure Read the entire procedure before you start the removal activity. WARNING Copy or Print mus t be fully completed. Check Check that “Online” and “ Job in Memory” Memory” lamps are are OFF OF F before turning OF OFF F the power. After turn ing OFF the copier, turn OFF the circuit breaker and unplug the power cord. Install the Lockout Tag Tag device.

Release the wire harness from the (3) clamps. (Figure 5)

a) Disconnect the (2) feeder connectors b) Remove (4) screws

Release the (4) wide re-usable wire cable ties by actuating the tab; remove and discard.

__ 8.

Un-plug (Figure 6) the (2) small (pictured) connectors on the wire harness, then remove the (2) wire loop jumpers with the double plug (male-to-male). These jumpers and plugs are NOT re-used.

__ 9.

Secure the wire harness back into the (3) clamps (see figure 5) leaving the connectors accessible.

Remove the (2) screws and the Center Cover. (Figure 4)

__ 10. Install the Front and Rear Blower Assemblies from this kit using (2) self-tapping screws provided in the kit. Connect both front and rear blower connectors (released in step 8) to the plugs on the fan assemblies. (circled in Figures 7 & 10)

__ 12. Install the (2) Upper Ducts on the Feeder Assembly using (2) screws each. Use (2) of the screws removed with the Center Cover (this cover is NOT re-used). (Figure 9)

CAUTION: Do not trap wiring behind the blower

Re-install the Feeder Assembly. __ 13. Re-install the following: a) Rear Safety Cover (make sure the cover is secured on the tab on the frame, see figure 10). Install only one screw; the second one is installed in Step c)

Figure 7 __ 11. Position the Lower Ducts on the detents and secure with (1) screw provided in the kit. (Figure 8)

Note: The Center Cover is not re-installed and can be discarded.

__ 14. If a DFE exists, and the Copier Interface cable does NOT have a ferrite core attached, install the Ferrite Core from this Kit on the cable, near the IOT connection, as shown in Figure 11.

Remove the Lockout Tag device. Reconnect the Power Cord and Power ON the machine.
