Dedication In dedicating these words, my only wish is to render this little tribute to the most amazing musician and human being in the world, Yanni. Several of your songs and experiences in your life inspired me to write you this compilation of poems, as a gift for your special day. You are God’s gift to the world and my angel. Every word, every thought, expressed in these pages comes from the depths of my heart. I wish you a happy birthday, my dear Yanni. (I-love-you-Yanni, little voice)
Your Faby
Sea under (My tribute to Yanni)
Midnight Sleepless stars twinkle over the sea A black and white ocean leaves tracks of past dreams on the sand of dark The song of a mermaid coming from nowhere mesmerizes your senses whispering in your soul softly taking you into the depths of the warm and the tender. Hazel (The End of August)
Warm days are no more. Golden leaves turn in cold gusts of wind. Carpets of red and auburn sag and creak under steps of long, lonely walks. Shadows of past summers keep me warm from the vacuum in my heart. I search for your glance of hazel in the early snow, but you chasethe blue blue in another ano ther sky. sky. A lonely tear brings me back to those memories of you. you. Fabiola Maldonado S. October, 30th, 2017
The train (Nostalgia)
Mountains and rivers Pass by the window Wagons creak on the iron path Flashes of children playing in the muddy streets. A warm apple cake on the window sill. A golden happy tail wagging welcome. The smiling woman with her fruit filled basket. The young playing and racing in the hard ocean waters under the afternoon sun. The steam and the steel are bringing me back to yesterday yesterday.. True romance (Reflections of Passion)
A fire starts so deep Dreams burst inside A mysterious power Drives us to the highest We soar strong. Power strikes when We dive in our emotions Outpouring burning and yet so tender feelings that turn into love for the biggest or the smallest, for the highest or the lowest. As long as the feeling reflects in our eyes, nothing will stop us from romancing with life Fabiola Maldonado S. November 2nd, 2017
Loving hands (One Man’s Dream)
So deep, in the darkness so long ago. Voices from places so far Uknown words, bright colors, new beliefs. So different, and yet so human. A vision of the world coming together Souls feel the soft hands caressing the black and white outpouring a stream of healing harmony that surrounds us in the atmosphere where the name of the universal song is love Fabiola Maldonado S. Snowstorm Flower (Until the Last Moment)
Gray fills the sky Pain remains after the snowstorm Where has the sun gone? Tears blurr the blossom Flocks search for summers far away The warmth of the embrace turns cold Has the iciclecrossed your heart? Lost smiles freeze in falling snowflakes. But fearles and beautiful, flower stands alone in the white with her colors wide open. Fabiola Maldonado S. November 5th, 2017

A Cry for Peace (Marching Season)
Love left, fear remained Prejudice closed our eyes Cold wind teared the tender blossom Rampage in the middle of bonfires breaks the silence silence of night Shadows clash tear the skin, blow into cry Different paths have broken us up Blinding our souls Darkness surrenders to morning light Dew drops heal the wounds under the sunrise sky. Senses open Drums roll call for peace Our hearts surrender We become one under the color of love. Fabiola Maldonado S. November 11th, 2017
Pianist’s Pianist’s eyes (Yanni and the eagle)
I’d ride on gusts of wind Almost touching the sun. Far in the distance, the prey would surrender to the power of my talons. I’d cry in victory… A strange sound would break the silence. My strength would leave me. Pain would cross my side. Fear and confusion. Is this the end? I faded to black. Winters and summers Passed among strangers My eyes would search the sky But my wings wouldn’t lift me again to freedom I would stay blind to sorrow and despair until my eye met his. I looked into his Peaceful soul, the only place love could be found. Resting confident on his arm I dreamed of skies once more. My wing will protect him forever. I was free the morning after. Musicmaker (Rainmaker)
Move to the rhythm Ride on the black Close your eyes Clouds arise at your command Your heart opens wide Emotions start to flow Rivers from your soul flood me inside Vibrations make me dance turning under the pouring rain of sounds from so far coming together in one majestic harmony of colors and textures, Its power surrenders me to rapture.
