Welded steel tubes for pressure purposes EN 10217-1 EN 10217-1 + A1 2005 Ruukki is a well-known manufacturer of welded steel tubes and pipes in Europe. Steel tubes suitable for pressure purposes are manufactured according to European standard EN 10217-1 of steel grade P195TR1, P195TR2, P235TR1, P235TR2, P265TR1, P265TR2. The tube manufacturing line in Virsbo makes use of a hot-stretched reduction process, which provides the product with homogenous properties. Pressure tubes can be used for a wide range of water and gas distribution applications and the tubes are suitable cold bending and for galvanizing at customers request. Applications

Order & delivery General Ruukki Virsbo has a unique manufacturing process of pressure tubes, including high frequency welding followed by a hotstretch-reducing process which guarantees the tubes to have unique mechanical properties. Ruukkis environmental product declaration and awareness provides opportunities for customers with particular concerns i.e customers involved in green building projects to easily calculate the environmental impact of their installations.

Marking Tubes are ink jet marked with following information, example: WIRSBO EN 10217-1 P235TR1 WIRSBO EN 10217-1 P235TR2 Tubes are steel stamped with following information, example: (W) P235TR1 (W)10 + CH.NR (W) P235TR2 (W)10 + CH.NR Location: approx. 50mm from the tube end. Stamped at one end.
Optional As Ruukki is always looking to satisfy customer needs we are able to make tubes suitable for instant installations and are always ready to discuss all customer requirements. Ruukki is able to supply tubes according to most of the options (1 to16) of EN 10217-1.
Surface Options Galvanized
Ruukki has its own galvanizing facility and are able to supply galvanized tubes according to EN 10240 Surface Protection
Ruukki has its own painting line and are able to supply protected painted or varnished tubes. Standard colours are blue, red, grey and black but optional colours can be discussed with our sales and marketing department.

The tubes can be delivered with end caps fitted to each tube end to prevent ingress of foreign matter. Grooving
