1. Read the millimeter mark on the main scale to the left of the ‘0’-mark on the vernier scale. ** The reading show 29mm on the main scale.

2. Look along the vernier scale and the millimeter marks on the adjacent fixed scale, until you find the two that mostly nearly line up. **The reading show in 0.60mm in vernier scale.

3. To get the correct readin, simply add the main scale reading with vernier scale reading. ** 29mm + 0.60mm = 29.60mm
