Radio Control Manager Tasks – Disabling Radios Temporary Subscription Disable •
•
•
Dimetra IP allows the Network Manager to temporarily disable (stun) a MS, by sending a message over the air interface. While stunned, the MS will be unable to make or receive calls. Although it will appear to be turned off to the user, it will continue to register with the system, so that the Network Manager can track it. The radio can be re enable by sending the command Temporary Subscription Enable –

Permanent Subscription Disable •
•
•
•
Permanent disabling is intended to protect a network from attack from a compromised or faulty MS. Can be used when the MS is known to have been compromised, or has been suspected of compromise for a long time. One way function, there is no equivalent enable. The MS would need to be recovered and reprogrammed before it could be used again.

Dynamic Group Number Assignment (DGNA) (1) •
•
•
This feature allows an RCM user to add and remove Talkgroups from the talkgroup list of a subscriber A Dynamic Regrouping command can also be used to re-name an existing talkgroup, and to assign a new Class of Usage A Dynamic Regrouping command can affect up to 100 Mobile Stations. Each Mobile Station involved in the command sends an acknowledgement to the RCM application. A Dynamic Regrouping command that has been successfully completed can be reversed by use of the Revert action.
