This official transcript has been transmitted electronically to the recipient, and is intended solely for use by that recipient. If you are not the intended recipient, please notify the Transcript Department at Florida International University. It is not permissible to replicate this document or forward it to any person or organization other than the identified recipient. Release of this record or disclosure of its contents to any third party without written consent of the record owner is prohibited.
ffic
This official transcript has been digitally signed and therefore contains special characteristics. If this document has been issued by Florida International University, and for optimal results, we recommend that this document is viewed with the latest version of Adobe® Acrobat or Adobe® Reader; it will reveal a digital certificate that has been applied to the transcript. This digital certificate will appear in a pop-up screen or status bar on the document, display a blue ribbon, and declare that the document was certified by Florida International University with a valid certificate issued by GlobalSign CA for Adobe®. This document certification can be validated by clicking on the Signature Properties of the document.
ial
The blue ribbon symbol is your assurance that the digital certificate is valid, the document is authentic, and the contents of the transcript have not been altered.
an
Tr
If the transcript does not display a valid certification and signature message, reject this transcript immediately. An invalid digital certificate display means either the digital signature is not authentic, or the document has been altered. The digital signature can also be revoked by the transcript office if there is cause, and digital signatures can expire. A document with an invalid digital signature display should be rejected.
sc
Lastly, one other possible message, Author Unknown, can have two possible meanings: The certificate is a self-signed certificate or has been issued by an unknown or untrusted certificate authority and therefore has not been trusted, or the revocation check could not complete. If you receive this message make sure you are properly connected to the internet. If you have a connection and you still cannot validate the digital certificate on-line, reject this document. The transcript key and guide to transcript evaluation is the last page of this document.

DEAN'S LIST Any matriculated undergraduate student who earns a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester credit hours of coursework for which grade points are earned, is placed on semester Dean's List.
of
DEAN’S LIST (COLLEGE OF LAW) All students who attain an average of 3.00 or better in any semester (but not summer sessions) are named to the Dean’s List for that semester. Full-time students must earn at least 12 hours of credit for the semester with a minimum of six credit hours in graded courses. Part-time students must earn at least eight hours of credit for the semester with a minimum of five credit hours in graded courses. REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION An undergraduate student must have earned a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and at least 120 credit hours; a graduate student a minimum of 3.0 GPA and at least 30 credits. GRADUATION HONORS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS Effective Spring 1993, to graduate Summa Cum Laude a student must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher; Magna Cum Laude with a 3.70 or higher GPA; Cum Laude with a 3.50 or higher GPA. Prior to Spring 1993, graduation honors were awarded as follows: to graduate with Highest Honors, a student must have earned a cumulative GPA of 4.00 or higher; High Honors with a 3.75-3.99 GPA; Honors with a 3.50-3.74 GPA. Additionally, a student must complete a minimum of 40 credit hours at FIU to be considered for graduation with honors. DEGREE AWARDS (COLLEGE OF LAW) The awards of summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude are awarded on the following criteria: 1. Summa cum laude – a student whose cumulative grade point average is 3.75 or higher. 2. Magna cum laude – a student whose cumulative grade point average is below 3.75 but is 3.50 or higher. 3. Cum laude – a student whose cumulative grade point average is below 3.50 but is 3.25 or higher. Students who complete the degree requirements at the conclusion of the summer session or the fall semester of any year will be considered for the above honors with the subsequent spring graduating class. ACADEMIC AMNESTY The academic amnesty policy allows re-admitted FIU undergraduate students who have not been enrolled in a university or college for at least 6 calendar years, to begin with a new GPA of 0.0. Grades earned previously will not be included in the GPA, but a grade of C or better earned in previous University courses may be applied toward a degree at the discretion of the College of the student's major. All prior courses attempted and grades received will appear on the transcript.
ACADEMIC SALVAGE The academic salvage policy allows re-admitted undergraduate students who were academically dismissed from the University or whose GPA fell below 2.0, and who subsequently received an Associate in Arts from another Florida public institution of higher learning, to have their GPA recalculated. Students will be credited with a maximum of 60 semester credit hours. REPEATED COURSES Repeated courses will be appropriately designated with a transcript comment. COURSE NUMBERING SYSTEM 1000 - freshman level 2000 - sophomore level 3000 - junior level 4000 - senior level

GRADUATE GPA Effective Fall 1992, the "Graduate GPA" field only includes graduate level courses taken once the student has been admitted into the graduate program. All undergraduate courses taken after the student has been admitted into a graduate program will be automatically excluded from the graduate GPA with the ability to manually include them.
