Now that we have observed the Total Physical Response Method being used in a class, let’s examine what we have seen. We will list our observations and then try to understand the principles upon which the teacher’s behavior is observed.

REVIEWING THE TECHNIQUES
The major technique, as we saw in the lesson we observed, is the use of commands to direct behavior. Asher acknowledges that although this technique is powerful, a variety of activities is preferred for maintaining student interest. A detailed description of using commands is provided in the following pages.
