The Amish Barn Raiser™ has everything you need to feel confident and secure in your tiny house build, all whi le giving you the options and upgra des to make it your own. The Amish Barn Raiser™ is for those who want someone else to do the heavy lifting; those who want to have a fully constructed and engineered exterior and interior framing so they have the creative freedom to make their tiny house a home. People who choose the Amish Barn Raiser™ usually want professionals to handle things like framing, sheathing, engineering, attaching the house to the trailer, water-proofing the home, and all that is taken care of.

Tumbleweed offers you plenty of upgrades and options to help customize your very own Amish Barn Raiser™. You can select from: a full completed roof, dormers, all your windows installed, our own custom door installed, a onepiece shower, skylights, and you can even have the siding installed. If you want to have us build the interior walls based on one of our floor plans, we can do that as well. We want to make working on your own home as fun, rewarding and hassle free as possible. The Cypress™ design makes use of the most interior space, by incorporating a corner porch and utilizing the extra room as interior space. The rhythm of the design and depth, from its recessed porch and hipped roof, offer an aesthetic that has led to the overwhelming popularity of this Tumbleweed design. ELM™

The iconic Elm™ facade features a custom arched window above the door. The beauty and function of this house has withstood the test of time. Optional dormers are available in the loft for added space, light, and cross breeze. The full porch and lancet window give this exterior design the charm and elegance that started it all. LINDEN™

The openness of the Linden’s™ great room, perfect for small gatherings and meetings, and the innovative new loft are the major features of this design. The roof includes two dormers that not only let in more light and give space, but also add to the overall classic proportions of the design. Our tiny homes can be towed by a standard truck which you may already own or else rent for moving days. To prepare for towing, here are specifications about home weights and minimum tow vehicle requirements. Tumbleweed house weights vary by size. Dry weight refers to the home and trailer combined weight. GVWR or gross vehicle weight rating refers to maximum allowable weight of the combined home, trailer and your personal items. Tow capacity refers to the weight the truck can tow, which needs to meet or exceed the gross weight of the home. Tongue weight refers to weight carried by the hitch rather than the wheels of the trailer, and insufficient tongue weight is the primary reason it’s difficult for 1/2 ton trucks to tow Tumbleweeds. The compatible ball size is 2-5/16" for all Tumbleweed house trailers.
