About AuthorJose Silva was born in Laredo, Texas. He and his older sister and younger brother were raised by their grandmother. Silva supported the family from a very young age by selling newspapers, shining shoes, and doing odd jobs. He never attended school, but learned to read and write by watching his sister and brother do their homework. Silva was able to study a correspondence course on radio repair through an agreement with the town barber, under which the barber rented the lessons to Silva, and Silva earned the diploma in the barber’s name. Using more of your mind in special waysAuthor said that the more you use both sides of your brain, the better your overall performance will be. Your brain generates electrical impulses or vibrations. In active (awakened) state an adult's brain vibrates at 21 cycles/seconds. This is called BETA level of mind. At this level your logical, analytical (left) brain is more active. When you relax, your brain frequencies slow down. Research proves that frequencies from 7 to 14 cycles are the strongest dimension and was the first one found during investigations with the EEG. This is called the ALPHA level of mind. At this level both logical (left) and creative (right) brains work equally, thus you get optimum results.

Speed learningAuthor described three fingers technique, once it is thoroughly mastered that one can instantly reach at their level and operate consciously there. This technique can be used while a person is listening a lecture or reading a book. This will vastly improve concentration and information will be implanted more firmly. Later one will be able to recall it more easily at Beta level and more easily still at the Alpha level. A student writing an exam with his three fingers crossed together can almost see the textbook he read, almost hear the instructor as he discussed the lesson in class. The procedure to practice this technique is just bring together the thumb and first two fingers of either hand than your mind will instantly adjust to a deeper level.
