OBJECTIVE QUESTIONS Directions for questions 1 to 5 : Anu, Radha and Anuradha went for window-shopping at 3 different retail shops, viz. Shopper’s Drop , C7 and Rig Bazaar, not necessarily in the that order. But allured by the salesmen, they landed up buying one item each, a Digital Camera, Leather sofa-seat and an MF Hussian painting. Following information is available regarding their shopping spree. I. Radha bought the most expensive item, which is not a Digital Camera. II. Anuradha and Anu have spent Rs 35000/ together, which is more than the amount spent by Radha. III. Anu loves paintings but decided against an exquisite MF Hussain because it did not suit her budget. IV. Directions for questions 6 to 9 : Answer the questions based on the following information. XYZ Ltd. produces silicon chips, 1, 000 at a time in a batch. The company has to ensure that it does not supply defective chips, as they are critical to the functioning of computer. If a buyer receives a defective chip, XYZ has to pay a penalty of Rs. 150 per chip. XYZ wants to test the quality of its chips before shipping them to its buyers. Directions for questions 15 to 19 : Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below : Three friends A, B and C together have 25 marbles with which they go to participate in a game. A has 10 marbles and C has one more marble than B. M is a magician who by putting the marbles in his hat, makes them undergo any one of the 4 distinct processes i.e. he either halves, doubles , triples or quadruples the number of marbles. In the game, each of A, B and C puts marbles in the hat of the magician in each of the 3 consecutive round. However in every round, the process on the marbles of the friends is different i.e. in any particular round, no two friends can have their marbles halved in the same round. The same rule applies to other processes of doubling, tripling or quadrupling also. Moreover, in not two rounds any person can have the same process done on his marbles. For example, if the number of marbles with A is halved in the first round, then in subsequent rounds the number of marbles with A cannot get halved again.
