1. GENERAL 1.1 This Standard defines the requirements for Supplier drawings and data for structural steel. 1.2 Bidders unable to comply with these requirements must detail all exceptions to these requirements in their proposal. 2. SUPPLIER DATA REQUIREMENTS (SDR-2S) 2.1 Each Inquiry will contain a Supplier Data Requirements Form (SDR-2S). When filled out, this form: a.
defines type of drawings and data required.
b.
specifies the quantities of prints and reproducibles of Supplier drawings and data required.
c.
provides the Supplier's proposed drawing and data schedule, if different than the requirements. The Supplier shall complete the column headed "Lead Time (Weeks) After Commitment - Promised" for each item contained in the Inquiry if the Supplier is unable to meet the required dates.
2.2 Any deviation from required dates must be noted by the Supplier and must be accepted as satisfying engineering and construction schedules. 3. SUPPLIER TRANSMITTAL AND DRAWING QUALITY 3.1 All drawings and data shall be submitted to KBR's Engineering Documentation Section with the job number clearly shown on the outside of the drawing package or container. 3.2 The Supplier shall include an index with each transmittal which lists all documents in the transmittal. The index shall clearly show the job number, Requisition Number, Order number, and transmittal number to which the transmittal data pertains. 3.3 All drawings and data requested on SDR-2S Form must be supplied in full size*. All reproducibles must be legible and right reading. Drawings and reproducibles wider or longer than 36 in. (910 mm)* are unacceptable. * Exceptions may be granted with prior approval. 3.4 All Group B documents and data as defined on SDR-2S Form must be supplied in high quality and in the quantities required. 3.5 All transmittals for drawings and data shall contain the following information: a.

complete Purchase Order Number and Requisition Number.

complete listing of all drawings (numbers, revisions, and titles) and data transmitted.
d.
required date for return of drawings and data to Supplier.
4. CONDITIONS OF REVIEW 4.1 The Purchaser and its client reserve the right to review and comment on all documents submitted by the Supplier. 4.2 Acceptance with or without comments, of Supplier's drawings or data does not relieve the Supplier from complying with all terms, conditions, codes, standards, requirements of the Order and job specifications. The Purchaser reserves the right to review and comment on drawings that have previously been accepted with or without comments. 4.3 Comments on submitted Supplier data ARE NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS AUTHORIZATION TO CHANGE THE SCOPE OF THE PURCHASE ORDER. Changes to the scope will only be transmitted via revisions to drawings or other written communication such as telex, letter, etc. Comments on Supplier data are limited to identifying requirements within the scope of the Order or the Supplier's failure to comply with the Order as revealed by the review. 5. DEFINITION OF DOCUMENT GROUPS OR ACCEPTANCE CATEGORIES 5.1 Group A documents and data will be subject to review and acceptance. This data will be stamped with an acceptance stamp listing the conditions or status of the review. All data with comments will be returned to the Supplier for revision and resubmittal. Those without comments will not be returned. However, the Supplier will be notified by letter or other transmittal of the acceptance without comment, or acceptance without review. 5.2 Group B, C and D documents and data will be subject to review. Any comments resulting from review will be returned to the Supplier for resolution. The Supplier is to submit Group B, C, and D documents on the presumption that these documents are for information and file only. The Supplier shall not delay any work pending comments on Group B, C, or D documents. The Purchaser will promptly inform the Supplier of any comments made. 5.3 Drawing and Data Groups 5.3.1 Group A documents and data generally are not required for structural steel. 5.3.2 Group B documents and data shall be fully defined on SDR-2S Form, but generally consist of the following: a.
Group B1: Shop Fabrication Drawings • • •
b.
Structural Steelwork - steel sections, assemblies, flooring, stairways, handrailing, etc. Ancillary materials for steel framed buildings, roof and side sheeting, glazing, rainwater goods, etc. Calculated weights of material and appropriate weight code shall be included on drawings.
Group B2: Erection Drawings • • •
Marking plans showing mark numbers. Field weld details. Sequence of erection if critical.

5.3.3 Group C documents and data shall be fully defined on SDR-2S Form, but generally consist of the following: a.

Group C2, C3, C4 and C6 documents and data generally are not required for structural steel.
5.3.4 Group D documents and data generally are not required for structural steel. 5.4 Conditions of Acceptance or Review AC - ACCEPTED (Reviewed without comments): Proceed with all work defined by the data and resubmit when a revision is made to the drawing or data by the manufacturer or by subsequent changes to the Order. ACC - ACCEPTED WITH COMMENTS (Reviewed as Noted): Revise per comments and proceed with all work defined by the data. Resubmit the revised drawing or data for final acceptance. NR - NOT REVIEWED-ACCEPTED: Proceed with all work defined by the data and resubmit when a revision is made to the drawing or data. NAC - NOT ACCEPTED: Do not proceed with any work defined by the data submitted. Revise and resubmit per comments, unless otherwise noted. 5.5 Revisions All drawings and data that have been revised by the Supplier shall meet the following requirements: a.
All changes must be noted in a revision list contained on the drawing or a separate drawing revision record. All changes must be fully described. The following terms shall not be used: • • •

General Revision. Revised per Customer's (Client's) Comments. any other general term.
All changes shall be noted and shall have a revision number shown.
6. COORDINATION When Supplier drawings and data are returned or comments are communicated to the Supplier, comments must be incorporated and resubmitted within ten (10) days. Supplier disagreement with any comment shall be immediately submitted to the Purchaser in writing.

7. TITLE BLOCKS 7.1 Each drawing shall have a title block located in the lower right hand corner. 7.2 The following information shall appear on each title block or cover page of the Supplier's drawings and data: a.
Client and Plant Location.
b.
Supplier Drawing Title, Drawing Number and Revision Number.
c.
Purchase Order Number and Requisition Number.
d.
Item/Structure Number(s) or Tag Numbers(s) and Item/Structure Title(s).
