Statement of Purpose for Msc Eectrical Engineering Greenwich University London

I have the pleasure to write this statement to express my intent to join the Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering in University of Greenwich. I have My Bachelor’s degree from Islamia University Bahawalpur Pakistan. In the foregoing Paragraphs, I’ve given a brief description about my academic background, Objectives in pursuing graduate study and my c areer goals. Right from my childhood, I had the opportunity to get exposed to basic Electrical Engineering concepts since my elder cousin is Electrical Engineer in the reputed Power generation g eneration company. He always guided me about the complex engineering problems and k ept me aware to the increasing demand of electrical energy. My father occupation is also related to the technical field. He always inspired that becoming a successful engineer is a right goal for my bright career. Academics thus have been my closest companion. I secured my admission in one the best government universities of Pakistan by achieving excellent marks in the e ntrance engineering examination. As everyone is familiar, getting an admission in engineering is not only very competitive but also requires intense hard work in higher secondary school studies. I also avail a chance to choose engineering field of  my interest. My undergraduate education emphasizes mainly on the exposure to various fields and also helps me in making a judicious decision about field of electrical engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I was introduced to a whole range of fields like communication, Power system, Electronics. The broad based and well balanced undergraduate program in my college is also one of the main inclinations towards postgraduate study. It has given me ample command on the fundamentals of many fields of electrical engineering and provided an exposure to the possibilities of research in these fields. My fascination for Electrical engineering arose from a rapidly demand of electrical energy since last few years. Enormous numbers of power projects are now in progress to overcome the shortfall of e lectricity thus resulting in increased demand of power e ngineers. Moreover My College has a very strong solid and well qualified faculty of all disciplines of engineering. My Professors Dr Mk Burdi (PhD from Bath University) & Dr Rafiq Abro (PhD from Sheffield University) have given me a lot of motivation to do Post graduation in my respective field. They taught me all my major power subjects including power electronics, e lectrical machine deigns, power systems etc. I also came to know about the difference of education system in UK and developing countries from their teaching. In short, it’s not easy for a student from developing country like Pakistan to study in UK, because we have to pay fees 3 times than that of EU citizens. Inspite of that e ach year cream of shiny students from Pakistan pursue their studies in UK.The guardian University ranking & University website have completely convinced me that the Electr ical & Electronic engineering department in your famous university has excellent faculty and very good facilities from graduate studies.

Nevertheless, I believe that university of Gree nwich will provide me that ideal platform to make a positive contribution towards my chosen field. I want to be succe ssful in whatever I am doing and definitely a better person. Given an opportunity in the graduate program of your university, I’m fully aware of the fact that a master’s degree requires sincerity, devotion and determination.
