Introduction
“ Esteem
: The Ultimate Reinforced Concrete Integrated Total Solution Software “ is an
engineering software designed in Malaysia along with the expertise from Singapore and New Zealand. Esteem software is specially designed to give an integrated solution for structural engineers in designing reinforced concrete structures.
The user friendly interface of Esteem enables users to understand easily. The Toolbar icon is understandable even for beginners and the easy-to-access help context . Based on the Microsoft Project’s interface, the shortcut toolbar has a lot of input and command which can be changed it sizes at the top part of window. The key plan view mainly covers at the right side of the project explorer and at the left side of the object viewer
GUI is prepared at the right side to maximize users’ productivity. GUI also has 3D model view for better visual in frame design. Users also can use walkthrough function for POV usage of external and internal of building.
What Esteem can do ? Esteem can analyze almost all building shapes either orthogonal or free design. Esteem also allows user to input any floor plan beyond architects’ imagination.
Since this application specially designed for reinforced concrete design, users can save all steps for elaboration purposes by setting the Code of Practice, reinforced concrete and steel grade. Moreover, the support condition also can be done automatically by Esteem. With only one click after key in all the information, Esteem will produce repo rts and drawings to be submitted.
Analysis, load arrangement to obtain the ultimate design, Sub-frame analysis, full frame 3D analysis, construction level simulation, wind load using load per area calculated from the wind speed, horizontal loads, seismic static analysis using ELFM.
Design, floor slab, beam and column, shear wall, pad foundation, pile cap, multilevel foundation, ties, flat slab, raft foundation, punching shear. B y focusing on the above characteristics, Esteem can present quality results and program stability. Parameter probability and every details are managed by this program.

Project background
The project is based on the architectural plan of “Cadangan membina dan menyiapkan sebuah rumah banglo 1 ½ tingkat diatas lot 4709, Jalan Merdeka Kampung Melayu Majdiee di Bandar Johor Bharu, Johor Bharu Darul Takzim”. This project is executed by the developer based on the proposed plan by architect from F.I Architect Sdn Bhd. The drawing is scaled to 1:100. The area of the house site is 955.95 m2 and 10289.76 ft2 including the yard area. The total cost of construction of this building is RM 300000.00. This house is consists of two levels which is the first floor and the ground floor while ½ of the storey has only 1 level. The construction work will be started in 1 November 2015 and ended on 1 September 2016. The clearing work will be done after the surveying work is finished. The surveying work will marked the boundary area of the house. After that, excavation work is done for the part of the house that has two floors and reclamation for the ½ floor. Piling will be done on the marked areas based on the proposed plan.
