Equipment:
1. Buret 25 ml 2. Erlenmeyer 100 ml 3. Erlenmeyer 250 ml 4. Pipette Volume 50 ml 5. Measurement Cylinder 10 ml Chemical Reagant:
1.
1.733 g/l and 0.1733 g/l AgNO3
2. Distilled Water 3. Rhodanine Indicator 0.2% ( in Acetone) Safety:

During process to preparation the samples, USE SAFETY GEAR. Procedure: A. NaCN Titration – High concentration
1. Clean and fill burette with AgNO3 (1.733 g/L). 2. Take sample of solution (10ml) and mix with 3 drop of Rhodnine indicator solution. Solution will produce yellowish color. 3. Titrate with AgNO3 until solution turn a pinky purpie color. 4. Read scale on burette and calculate using the following formula:
Na CN {ppm} = (Vol of AgNO3 titre × 1000) 10 00) Vol. of sample
Use lower strength AgNO3 solution (0.1733 g/L). Take 100 ml for titration and mix with 3 drops of Rhodanine solution . Solution will produce yellowish color Titrate with AgNO3 until solution turn a pinky purpie color. Measure level the burette From titre volume calculate ppm as follow : NaCN (ppm) = (Vol of AgNO3 titre × 100) Vol of sample
