Information During installation

For removal of stubborn marks or stains

Do not allow any tile adhesive or excess grout to dry on the sur face of the tile. Unwanted adhesive or excess grout should be cleaned a few minutes after application or before the material becomes dry. Cleaning should be perfor med according to tile adhesive or grout manufacturer’s method and instruction. For protection against construction dirt, scratches and accidental damage, the tiles already laid or xed on the oors must be covered for the duration of the construction.

Wipe off dust from the tile surface. Depending on the type of stains, dilute 1 part of specialised cleaning agent such as FILA DETERDEK or FILA PS/87 or FILA PH ZERO to 3 parts water. If necessary, use straight from the bottle. Spread the solution over the affected area and leave for approximately 5-10 minutes to allow the chemical reaction. Rub the solution over the affected surface with the use of a scouring pad. Rinse with water and wipe dry with a cotton cloth or mop. Repeat if necessary. For oors, allow the cleaned area to dry before allowing pedestrian access.

For regular cleaning and m aintenance Wipe off dust from the tile surface on a regular basis. Dilute 1 part normal commercial ceramic tile cleaner/degreasing agent to 10 parts water. Apply and wipe over the sur face with a cotton cloth, sponge or mop. Rinsing is not necessary. For oors, allow the cleaned area to dry before allowing pedestrian access.

For cleaning with a oor washing m achine Wipe off dust from the tile surface. Dilute 1 part normal commercial ceramic tile cleaner/ degreasing agent to 5 parts water or use straight from the bottle. Undiluted commercial CLOROX bleaching solution may be used. Apply and wipe over the surface with a cotton cloth, sponge or mop. For oors, allow the cleaned area to dry before allowing pedestrian access.

Important Cleaning and maintenance depends on the density of trafc, the condition of the surrounding area where the tiles are installed, and the nature of dirt to which the oors or walls are exposed. Routine cleaning and maintenance must be undertaken according to specic requirements. Any spillage of tea, coffee, paint, permanent marker, hair dye, nail polish and the like on tiles must be immediately cleaned to prevent severe staining. It is possible that these substances may leave light marks or slight discolouration on the tiles if left untreated for any period of time. It is not advisable to use hydrouoric acid solution or its compound for cleaning. Do not use metal tools too scrape the dirt from the surface of the tiles.
