Variadores de Velocidad 1.
Introducción El control de potencia es una de las cuatro funciones que conforman la estructura de un automatismo. Su función básica consiste en establecer o interrumpir la alimentación de los receptores siguiendo las órdenes de la unidad de control. La norma internacional IEC-947 regula las características y comportamiento de los dispositivos de control de potencia. Estos equipos se denominan generalmente arrancadores y se pueden clasificar en tres tipologías claramente diferenciadas. 1. Arrancadores directos “Todo-Nada” 2. Arrancadores basados en arrancadores electrónicos.

Métodos de arranque Los arrancadores “Todo-Nada” no tienen la capacidad de regulación de los parámetros del arranque motor.
Arranque directo: Método de arranque sólo valido para motores pequeños, debido a su alta demanda de corriente al arranque. Problemas mecánicos debido a su arranque brusco (debido al elevado par de arranque).

Arranque estatórico de resistencias: Es el método de arranque poco utilizado solo en motores de alta potencia, el coste y volumen de los elementos es importante. La corriente al arranque es elevada aunque menor que en el arranque directo y con arranque de par creciente. Arrancadores basados en variadores de velocidad también tienen la capacidad como los anteriores de regular los parámetros de arranque (corriente y par), pero con el añadido de poder regular la velocidad de trabajo del motor y no solo trabajar a velocidad nominal de este. 3.3 Tipo de funcionamiento f uncionamiento

Funcionamiento a par constante: Se denomina funcionamiento a par constante cuando las características de la carga son tales que, en régimen permanente, el par solicitado es sensiblemente constante sea cual sea la velocidad. Este modo de funcionamiento se utiliza en las cintas transportadoras y en las amasadoras. Para este tipo de aplicaciones, el variador debe tener la capacidad de proporcionar un par de arranque importante (1,5 veces o más el par nominal) para vencer los rozamientos estáticos y para acelerar la máquina (inercia).
Funcionamiento a par variable: Se denomina funcionamiento a par variable cuando las características de la carga son tales que en régimen permanente, el par solicitado varía con la velocidad. Es en concreto el caso de las bombas volumétricas con tornillo de Arquímedes cuyo par crece linealmente con la velocidad o las máquinas centrífugas (bombas y ventiladores) cuyo par varía con el cuadrado de la velocidad. Para un variador destinado a este tipo de aplicaciones, es suficiente un par de arranque mucho menor (en general 1,2 veces el par nominal del motor). 3.4 Aplicaciones Para abarcar eficazmente una gran número de aplicaciones, los variadores tienen una cantidad importante de ajustes y reglajes en función de la aplicación se utiliza unos u otros, véase las siguientes aplicaciones:

3.5 Eficiencia Energética Los motores eléctricos es uno de los principales consumidores de energía en los diferentes sectores, es por eso que en la época actual, se ha hecho bastante hincapié en crear procesos cada vez más eficientes. Uno de los elementos que nos puede ayudar más a la reducción del consumo de estos motores son los variadores de velocidad. Los principales ejes del ahorro energético de los variadores de velocidad se resume en los siguientes puntos: Ahorro en potencia reactiva. Cosφ = 1, corriente fundamental está en fase con la tensión. Ahorro en mantenimiento. Ausencia de elementos electromecánicos de potencia y la suavidad de la transmisión de movimiento. Ahorro en tiempo de Instalación. Incorpora todos los elementos necesarios para un gobierno total del motor y su instalación es muy simple. El último punto de ahorro y más significativo depende de la aplicación en la que se hace servir el variador de velocidad, en este caso para aplicaciones denominadas HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning). Ahorro en potencia activa. El consumo de potencia activa es similar a la potencia mecánica.

Descripción del material La maqueta consta de un variador de 0,37 kW ATV12H037M2 de alimentación de red 220 V. monofásico. Seis interruptores correspondientes a las cuatro entradas digitales del variador y un potenciómetro conectado a la entrada analógica del equipo. Un disyuntor para habilitar tensión y proteger frente a cortocircuitos aguas arriba al variador de velocidad. Y 4 bornes para la conexión del motor.
1.1 Equipos de prácticas. El equipo de prácticas consta de un variador de velocidad ya cableado con un cuadro de control, donde se realizarán las diferentes prácticas de control.
Al panel de prácticas se tiene que conectar con un motor trifásico con bananas que irá conectado en el lateral del cuadro de control.
