“Out Campus Learning Mode of Study”.
Out campus learning mode of study is a mode of study where the student is separated in space and time from his/ her tutor and the institution but keeps in close touch with specially formulated study materials. The materials are made in such a way that it’s interactive and meaningful. 1 Because of the increasing demand of the industry, hence most of the adult learners decided to enrol their study by joining out campus learning of study. My personal reflections towards out campus learning mode of study can be view by looking at it advantages and disadvantages that learners will come across. Among the advantages of out campus learning mode of study are the flexibility and freedom it provides. Some of the adult learners don’t want to lost their job, therefore, with this kind of mode of study gives an opportunity to them to further their study. As for me, I feel very comfortable with my current job now. However, as a human being I try to fulfil my psychology need which is satisfaction through develop my career by further my study. Secondly, this kind of mode of study provides hands on experiences. As I am working student, I’ve a bit experiences in certain things, so it’s easy for me to link my experiences with my study. For example, when doing my assignment, I will use my pervious experiences to complete my assignment. Out campus learning mode of study also has it disadvantages. For instance time management. For working adult learners, sometimes it is very difficult for them to manage their time between family, work and study. As for me, I found that, a bit difficult to find the exact time to study as well as ample time with my family. Therefore, sometime my focus is not consistent towards my study or work and my family. 1

Other than that, lack of face to face interaction with lecturer. This kind of mode of study somehow gives difficulty in term of face to face interaction. Meaning to say, when I do not understand the subject matter of certain subject, it is very difficult to discuss further in deep with my lecturer because the time is very limited. As the conclusion, out campus mode of study has its own advantages and disadvantages. In order to compete with the global market, individual need to have variety of soft skills and knowledge. Hence, out campus learning is an alternative for adult learners to enhance their knowledge and soft skills.
