Duplicate (our Dri"e ). Please ensure the capacity of the Target =ard Dri"e @ATargetB slot is larger than the -ource =ard Dri"e @A-ourceB slot. Dri"es with same model num#ers may ha"e tiny dierences in capacity and that may cause the failure of duplication. *. Please ensure you #ack les from the target hard dri"e #efore duplicating. ll les on the Target =ard Dri"e will #e deleted and o"erwritten when duplicating. +. Turn o the ORICO dock! disconnect ,-6 ca#le! insert the -ource =ard Dri"e into A-ourceB slot and insert the Target =ard Dri"e into the ATargetB slot! slide the control switch on the rear panel from APCB to ACloneB! then press power #utton AO%B and press the A-tartB #utton to start the duplicating. /. The duplication is ADisk to DiskB #ut not A9ile to 9ileB. This means duplicating an empty )T6 hard dri"e will take the same time as duplicating a full )T6 hard dri"e. 0. The speed of duplication is 1>&E>F6?s. This means it takes a#out * hours to duplicate a 0>>:6 dri"e! / hours for a )T6! E to G hour to duplicate a *T6 dri"e.

Dri"es will go into suspend mode to sa"e energy when the duplication has completed. t this time you may turn o the dock! slide the control switch on the rear panel from ACloneB to APCB! press the ApowerB #utton and attach it to a computer to check the duplicated dri"e. %ew dri"es @or RID need to #e initiali'ed and formatted #efore #eing used for data store. Please follow the following directions to initiali'e and format your dri"e using Ficrosoft 4indows ). Please ensure you ha"e mounted dri"e@s to ORICO Dock and attach the dock with dri"e@s to computer properly @see A=ow To -tartB section! steps )&+a. Thenright click on Computer! select the AFanageB option to open Computer Fanagement. Open the ADisk FanagementB module under the A-torageB section of Computer Fanagement window. popup will appear her suggesting a new dri"e needs to #e initiali'ed. Please select the disks accordingly a click OJ to initiali'e the disk@s. %ote5 . If you are mounting a dri"e which is not larger than *T6 and using 4indows Kista or earlier! it is recommended to initiali'e with F6R @Faster 6oot Record partition style. 6. If you are mounting a dri"e which is larger than *T6! it is recommended to initiali'e with the :PT @:,ID Partition Ta#le partition style. Otherwise! you may only nd *T6 are usa#le and the rest inaccessi#le due to the limitations of F6R @L*T6 capacity. C. Click A%extB. 0. -et the Kolume -i'e of your %ew Kolume. =ere you can set a custom si'e or simply set the si'e to the maximum a"aila#le capacity to use the dri"e as one large "olume. 1. ssign a %ew Dri"e $etter for the %ew Kolume. "aila#le Dri"e $etters will #e shown in the drop down of the rst option. If you wish to change any of those parameters!

The formatting will take 0 to +> seconds @%ote5 if you unchecked the Aperform a 8uick formatB option it may take a couple of hours or more! depending on your dri"e capacity and its writing speed capa#ility. 4hen the formatting is completed the %ew Kolume will #e ready for use. )>. If you ha"e not set the si'e of the Kolume to the maximum a"aila#le disk space then the remaining space on the dri"e will #e unallocated and you may repeat steps + to G to create and format additional Kolumes with the lefto"er disk space.

To remo"e under Ficrosoft 4indows5 -top using the dri"e@s and right&click on the A-afely Remo"e =ardware and 7ect FediaB icon in the task#ar! select the dri"e you wish to remo"e from the list. Once the system popup says A-afe To Remo"e =ardwareB then you may safely remo"e dri"es #y rst turning O99 the dock and then unplugging the dri"es from the dock. *. To remo"e under Fac O-5 -top the reading?writing to the dri"e@s and drag the dri"e icon @on desktop to the Trash @will turn into eect icon when dragged o"er trash #efore turning O99 the dock and unplugging the dri"e@s from the dock. %ote5 Please follow the direction of the ,ser;s Fanual and DO %OT force remo"e de"ice while in use @reading or writing! or another application using it. 9orcing remo"al of dri"es during use @#y explorer or other applications may cause errors or damage to the dri"e@s and?or les on the dri"e@s.
Trou#leshooting Please try the following steps if dri"es cannot #e mounted properly5
. Please check if ,-6 hosts of the computer are working properly. It is recommended! if using a desktop computer! to attach the dock to the computer;s rear ,-6 hosts. 6. It is recommended to try O%7 dri"e to test that the dri"e and dock are functioning properly. Please check that the ORICO de"ice works well when only O%7 dri"e is mounted in the =DD -lot ). C. Please ensure the ,-6+.> ca#le and Power dapter are attached properly. D. Please check whether the $7D of ORICO de"ice will turn on or not when dri"e is mounted in dock and powered O%. 7. Please ensure the dri"e has #een formatted properly. To check if it is formatted right&click on Computer! select AFanageB! open ADisk FanagementB under A-torageB @$eft side of window and there will #e displayed all formatted and mounted dri"es. Please follow the steps under the AInitiali'e and 9ormat %ew Dri"es @4indows InstructionsB section if you are mounting a #rand new dri"e. 9. Please check if the ORICO dock and dri"e works well with other ,-6+.> or ,-6*.> hosts or another computer if a"aila#le. :. Please check if the ORICO dock works well with other ,-6+.> ca#le or ,-6*.> ca#le @commonly used for printers if a"aila#le. =.
