The Learning Management System
The AMA University Online Education Learning Management System, also known as LMS, serves as the student’s gateway to learning. The LMS contains all course materials, including video lectures, course modules, powerpoint presentations and assessments. These can be accessed through lms.amauonline.com
After successful registration through our website, log in to the LMS using the same account.
NOTE: If you already have an account but have forgotten your password, click on Forgotten Password and then type in your registered e-mail address to receive a Password Reset link.
The LMS Dashboard
Once you have logged in, you will be directed to the home page which is the LMS dashboard:
Main Menu The LMS Dashboard functions are easy to remember, it has the Main Menu which consists of tabs that will give you access to resources that could help jumpstart your knowledge on online learning, such as the student handbook, the LMS Manual, and the “Post a Student Concern” bar for specic inquiries.

LMS Side Bar On top is the Administration, and Private Files, followed by My Latest Badges, Calendar, and Upcoming Events tabs.
Main Dashboard This is where you can view all of your currently enrolled courses under “My Courses”. Each course comes with a thumbnail and a course description that will give you an overview of what the course will contain.

The main menu consists of tabs which you can use to access dierent parts of the LMS. This includes My Dashboard, Student Handbook, Student Manual (LMS Manual), and Post a Student Concern.
My Dashboard My Dashboard has a dropdown menu which consist of shortcuts to the Calendar, Messages, Badges, Private Files, and e-Portfolio.
Student Handbook The Student Handbook contains relevant information about AMA University Online Education, such as the admission requirements, as well as the existing academic policies.
ePortfolio
The ePortfolio is a fully featured electronic portfolio created for the online learning community. This is where you can share your achievements and developments and engage in a discussion with other students.
Student Manual The Student Manual helps you learn more about the LMS and its functions. This will give you an idea on how to use the LMS for easy online learning.
The Main Menu Post a Student Concern We have made things easy for you to forward your concerns to the specic groups in AMA OEd using Freshdesk! Just fvollow these steps:
Go to “Post a Student Concern” on your LMS menu or to the form directly below your LMS when you access a subject. Fill out the form with the required details such as your email address, full name, course, and subject of concern.
In the space provided below the email address, put in a message or briey explain the situation you are in as a reason for consultation to the concerned group. Attach screenshots of your problems/clarications, if applicable and if necessary. Lastly, click on the Submit button at the end of the form and wait for the reply within 24 hours or less.
Editing your Profle
Subjects of concern could be one of the following: Academic Concerns mainly include issues and concerns related to your enrolled subjects such as inquiries on lessons and assessments, CISCO seat tokens, degree shifting, dropping and/or withdrawal of subjects, and other relevant problems. Crediting and TOR/TCG Concerns cater to questions on evaluation and subjects crediting, as well as requests for TOR/TCG. Student Support Concerns are for requests of activation/reactivation of subjects, extension, removal exam, certicate of enrolment, statement of account, payment balance and ocial receipt. Technical Concerns are for issues related to technical problems such as access to lessons/ quizzes, LMS/Portal, ebooks, and broken links. General Admissions will assist you in general inquiries regarding AMA University Online Education from registration, admission and enrolment. Evaluation Concerns are for any questions regarding the evaluation of your credentials.
Each subject concern contains a specic subject. This specication allows the people behind the team to immediately check on your problems.
To edit your prole, click on your name at the end of the Main Menu and select “Edit Prole.” This is where you can make changes on your prole. Note that your name and email address are not subject to changes.
Learning a Course Now that you have explored the home page, it Virtual Classroom is time to start learning your lessons. Under My Clicking this will connect you to the Big Blue Courses, simply click the title of the subject you Button. prefer to start studying rst.
To enter the Virtual Classroom, you must click on the Join Session button.
Clicking any of the courses will take you to an e-classroom, where you will see the entire course laid out for you. The completion of the course is sequential as activity completion is enabled. This simply means you cannot access lessons, quizzes, or exams if you do not meet the prerequisites. You must accomplish and view the previous items in the subject before proceeding to the next one. The rst thing you will see once you access a course is its banner. Underneath the banner are links to Course Introduction and Syllabus, Virtual Classroom, and News Forum.
The Big Blue Button will serve as your virtual classroom, where you will join other students in real-time classes conducted by the mentor. The classes can also be recorded for playback. You can activate the Listen Only option or Microphone option. The professor may also require you to open your webcam. Just click on the webcam button to do so. There is also a chatbox on the right side of the virtual classroom window to further communicate with your professor. You can also watch the live session again by clicking the All Recordings button below the Virtual Classroom.
Course Introduction and Syllabus Just as the name indicates, this section provides you an introduction to the course, as well as a detailed syllabus which will give you an idea of the things that you shall learn during the course.
NOTE: These virtual classes are scheduled. This means that the availability of this feature depends on the mentors assigned to the subject, whether or not they would like to conduct a virtual class.

News Forum This enables you to create forum topics regarding the lessons within the course. The News Forum serves as a medium of communication with your mentors and fellow students.
My Virtual Library This link will redirect you to a virtual library provided by Gale Cengage Learning. The password is “discover.” You can use this to search for additional resources on a variety of topics.
Lessons The subject is divided into multiple chapters, each with lessons that tackle various topics under your course. Click on the Lesson button below the chapter title to access your lectures.
Clicking a lesson will show you a page where all of the learning materials for that lesson are posted. Course materials come in a variety of forms. They can be presented in Video Lectures, Presentation (Slides), or Course Modules. Simply click on the provided button to view any of the materials. Additional Information on Course Contents On Content Distribution Materials are NOT available for download. However, students using mobile devices such as iOS and Android can use the AMAUOEd application to download the materials inside the LMS – but these are strictly for oine viewing only. On Lynda videos
Progress Bar The Progress Bar is found at the top of your sidebar upon access to the course. This serves as a guide for you to track how much of the activities, exams, and modules you have nished. The checkboxes will be automatically ticked o once you have accomplished the conditions directly below, updating the progress bar.
There are some course materials which will require access to Lynda.com, one of our learning partners. Simply click on the Enable Video Lectures button below the subject banner beside the puzzle piece icon. It will redirect you to Lynda. com as a member. Keep in mind that this is a onetime activation only and it automatically logs out after you nish the lesson. Just click on the same button again in order to access the video lectures.

Quizzes are taken once you have gone through all of the materials for the lesson. To start, you need to click on the quiz that you will take just below the lesson. Students are given a certain number of attempts to take the quiz, which will depend on the course you are taking. The default number of takes is one. The number of items that needed to be answered varies as well, with minimum of 5 items and as many as 30 items. Once you nish answering the items, you must click Submit All and nish the attempt. The quizzes are time-bounded and the time limit depends on the type of quiz and items. On quizzes in adaptive mode, the answers to the questions will be shown and will serve as your review for the nal exam. The nal exam has the same arrangement as the quizzes, except that the average time limit for taking it will be 2 hours, and the students will be given only one attempt. An extra attempt would be available, but only when needed.
Grades
Checking your grade may be done for each subject. Go to your subject and just click on the “Grades” button on the left side bar under Administration. It will open a page where you can view all the graded assessments in your course, as well as their corresponding contribution to your nal grade. Course Evaluation Before nishing the course, you are required to nish the course evaluation and course mentor evaluation (optional) at the end of the subject, after the nal exam.
