History Mystery Ranch’s ounder, co-owner, and head designer Dana Gleason has been at the oreront o the backpacking industry or more than 30 years. In 1985, he and business partner Renee Sippel-Baker created Dana Design, a recreatio recreational nal company whose packs are still s till recognized or innovative design, rugged durability, and breakthroughs breakthroughs in load carrying carr ying technology. K2 Corporation bought Dana Design in 1995. Dana and Renee ounded Mystery Ranch in 2000, creating their ideal: a Bozeman-based company company that keeps all levels o pack production—and production—and the jobs that come with it—in the USA. Just as importantly, the company is built on Dana’s passion: to urther push the limits o pack design, and satisy his appetite to meet the specic needs o today’s most rugged industrial and recreational pack users. Our design philosophy is simple: make exceptionally comortable, comortable, incredibly durable packs or people who depend on their gear.
