She spent half of her money. She next went to a second store and spent half of the money she had left. hen, she had ₱27.50 left. How muc h money had she a first? Solution: Half of half of her money is ¼ of her money at first. Thus her money must be ₱27.50×4= 110.00 Problem 5: Pete set up an unbalanced 2-pan scale. The right pan went up with 12 cubes. The left pan went down with a bag of cubes and 5 cubes outside the bag. Tom took one cube at a time from the bag with cubes and put each into the right pan. The two pans balanced when Tom had placed 15 cubes into the right pan. How many cubes were in the bag at first?
