Abstract
This document describes the micro BTS site solution with distributed BTS. Huawei DBS3900 can meet the requirement of the outdoor solution as micro site.

Site Solution
The micro sites are mainly for the coverage with small area with certain traffic, such as Hotel in-building coverage, residential area or an isolated village. So the DBS3900 can adapt for the different applications with different site solutions. According to the requirement of the tender, the output power is 5W, so the power consumption is very low (2/2/2 less than 400W), and the low battery requirement can help us to put the battery into the power plant. For normally 8 hours backup of 2/2/2 site, 200AH battery is enough even with transmission system. No DG needed with AC input from building power supply system.

Adapt for all micro scenarios
The DBS3900 deployed as micro site can be adapt for almost all scenarios for traffic coverage solution.
For the residential area(1):
For the residential area with non-high building and with large space between buildings, the DBS site can be installed on top of one building and with middle gain antenna (for antenna with more gain needs more length).
For the residential area(2):
For the residential area with a building higher than others, the DBS site can be installed on top of the building with directional antenna (for omni-antenna is difficult to control coverage).

For the residential area(3):
For the residential area with a large area and many group buildings, take the advantage of DBS3900, one BTS site with multi-RRU can solve the coverage requirement easily with high quality of the network, because the separated RRU can get much better coverage effect than the traditional BTS with multi-cell in only one site.
For the in-building coverage solution:
The BBU with Power plant / Battery can be installed indoor or outdoor, and also the RRU.

The benefit of the DBS3900 as micro site
Because the micro sites are always serve for high traffic area or VIP area, so the coverage effect and network quality is most important. DBS3900 can expand easily by only add RRU with fibre connection. And as contrast with traditional micro BTS which required in the tender, the DBS3900 can support maximum 12 cells with one RRU.
