Matura Focus Placement Tests The Matura Focus Placement Tests are designed to help the teacher to place students at the right level of the Focus series. Each test contains 100 multiple-choice questions and is designed to last for an hour. If students get less than 60% of the answers right, they should use the lower level indicated in the title, e.g. for the Focus 1/Focus 2 test they should use Focus 1. If they get more than 70% of the answers right, they should use the higher level indicated in the title. 60 –70% of right answers puts students in the middle of the two levels and your decision as to where to place these students should depend on the level of the rest of the class.
