ROUGH CALCULATIONS CHECK FOR LIGHT POLE FOUNDATION: 1. This calculation is based on a 22m high pole with 750mm dia. base shown in Dwg. 5089236/008/SL/1313. Top diameter of tapered of tapered circular pole is assumed as 250mm for purposes of calculating of calculating projected area. Other pole configurations with equivalent projected area may be used. 2. Resultant wind forces on elements, fixtures and fixings on the pole are approximate in the absence of specific data on effective projected areas (EPAs) from the pole and fixtures manufacturer. 2
