Dear PVR, I am Using JHora 7.02 Version. Let us take this Birth Data: DOB: 1971 November 18. Guests
Birth Time: 2.51 AM (IST) (5.30 East of GMT) Log: 77 E 00 Lat: 8 N 31 (Trivandrum (Trivandrum,, Kerala) The longitudes I get are: Lagna: 10 Vi 08 min 31.96 sec Kunda: 11 Ar 45 min 26.98 sec Now right-clicking in the Navamsa chart, I am choosing 'Higher divisions ->Normal nana-navamsa (D-81)'. Again right-clicking, I check
to see whether 'Higher divisions ->Choose nava-navamsa->Parasara's nava-navamsa' nava-nav amsa' is selected. After this right-clicking on the longitudes pane, I am choosing, 'Choose the divisional chart char t for longitudes'. Then from the Act Now and discover your Personal Future Predictions Based on your Date of Birth
From longitudes pane, for nava-nav nava-navamsa amsa longitude of lagna I get, Medium - Angela
15 Ar 21| 32.11||
Therefore, as per JHora, Lagna: 10 Vi 08 min 31.96 sec Kunda: 11 Ar 45 min 26.98 sec

Nava-navamsa (D-81-Lagna): 15 Ar 21 min 32.11 sec Anybody can see that, here Kunda and Nava-navamsa are different. As per denition, Asc x 81 = Kunda = Nava-navamsa Therefore there should be an error in it. Either in Kunda or Nava-navamsa or in Both. We would try to nd where it is?
Now let us calculate these values manually from the longitudes of Lagna (Asc). Lagna = Asc = 10 Vi 08 min 31.96 sec = 5 sign - 10 deg - 8 min 31.96 sec. (Using windows calculator I am calculating) First let us convert longitude of Asc into seconds.
858.22 sec = 14 min 18.22 sec OK. It is an acceptable value. Therefore I humbly take back my words about the Kunda calculation of JHora software. It is more or less accurate. (In Kunda calculation 14 min. is also important. I would humbly ask is it your error or could it be mine?). Still it is pretty clear that I have made an error in accusing PVR of making an unacceptable error in Kunda calculation. I apologize. The Navamsa-navamsa (D-81) calculated by JHora is nowhere near this (15 Ar 21 min 32.11 sec). Clearly that gives an error value. PVR has already said that he will x it. I accept the explanation given by PVR on this issue, and consider it as sucient. I would ask the JHora users to depend on Kunda sputa rather than Nava-navamsa (D-81) given by JHora to make birth-time rectication.
(Even though by theory both of them are one and the same). Thanks, Sreenadh

Your apology is accepted.
However, when I enter this data in my computer, I get the same lagna you do but get Kunda at 11 Ar 31' 9.08". This is much closer to the manual calculation you gave. I wonder why you get 14 min error.
Usually, we have found in the past that one gets the same results out of JHora on different computers if there are no different JHora settings that impact that particular calculation. And, there aren't any settings in JHora that inuence Kunda. Kunda is merely 81 times lagna. I am wondering if you made some mistake or used one ayanamsa when noting lagna and one ayanamsa when noting kunda or something like that. Please check once more.
BTW, is this your chart by any chance?
