Contain your sparks as far as possible (screen off) Direct your sparks away from others Remove all combustibles Have fire extinguisher at hand when grinding
Hot Slag
Contain your slag as far as possible Barricade area below when welding overhead Have a fire extinguisher at hand Remove / Protect all combustibles in the vicinity
Open Flame
Remove / Protect all combustibles in the vicinity Always have a fire extinguisher at hand
Electricity
Inspect all cords and plugs for damage before use
Gas
Hot Surfaces
Put all hot off cuts from cutting work out of harm’s way
Hazardous Substances (Flammable)
Responsible Person
Do soap test on gas equipment before use Inspect hoses for damage Close all valves after use Correct storage procedure
Do not paint near open flames Store paint in flammable liquid store No smoking while painting "No Smoking / No Open Flame" signs at paint work area Dispose of empty paint tins as per safe work procedure
