ENGINE OIL API CERTIFICATION MARK For maximum engine protection during all driving conditions, install an engine oil that contains the API Certific Certif icatio ation n Mark (Fig Fig.. 2) 2).. If a 2WD XJ vehicle cannot be towed with the rear wheels li wheels liffted, it can be towed towed with the front wheel wheelss lifted. CAUTION: Do not overfill crankcase with engine oil, oil foaming and oil pressure loss can result. Inspect engine oil level approximately every 800 kilometers (500 miles). Checking engine oil level on a cold engine is not accurate.
