Connecting Rod file: connecting rod
Step 1 draw two circles like shown on the front plane
add two tangent line
Step 3 add two more circle
Step 4 draw a line and mirror it
Step 5 draw a centerline and use trim command
Step 6 use fillet command like shown
Step 7 go up side a nd use trim command
Step 8 use fillet command again
Step 9 extrude the sketch in two directions. (5,5 mm for each way, total 11mm)
Step 10 open a sketch on the body and d raw a line. make parallel the lin e with the shown edge
Step 11 mirror the line and add this two circle
Step 12 Intersect the lines an d use trim command
Step 13 use trim command and mirror it
Step 14 draw two circles and cut the body
Step 15 draw two circles more and cut the bod y again. use offset feature
Step 16 draw a sketch on the body like shown
Step 17 extrude it 2mm and use mirror command
Step 18 now use fillet command
Step 19 your connecting rod is rea dy to use ( create a folder an d save into it, firstly we will ge nerate the V12 engine parts )

Dear all one thing I can not understand here you have drawn o ne hole wo rth 5 mm here after than you have drawn 7mm hole and both the holes has bee n extrude cut through out from their so you have shown both hole s in drawings so how it is possible??

one question to inventor users,when the crank has been built you can go in and turn the journ als to the degs that they nee d to be,now you ca nt do that in inven tor unless you ma de on e piece and brought it in to the assembly files,any other way of doing it or sho uld I just model the crank in a pa rt file and make the changes there so its all one solid ,ie just do it by constraining the sketch in the first place,built the whole crank and then found I could no t change the angl es in the part file or can I???

Why my sketch brings out some yellow lines wh en i trim in step 5 and 7?I do exactly what you show but i still get this lines. I do it over and over a nd the yellow l ines is still there.i dont know if i dont do something right but i rly wanna do this tutorial.i cannot extrude and i believe this is from the yellow lines..i get an error that says "sketch contains more than one open contour"......... Plz any help it would be great. P.S.1. I get this yellow lines in tangents. P.S.2. I am from greece so i am sry about my bad english.
