Persistence
I give credit to others whenever I can.
I keep trying until I succeed. I don’t give up.
If you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:3-5

Boldness
I believe God will empower my life with His strength.
I don’t brag or seek out praise. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2 Unit 2
Trustworthiness I can be counted on to keep my word. I do not betray others.
I don’t let insecurities limit me.
Unit 3
All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16: 2-3
Do not plot harm against your neighbor who lives trustfully near you. Do not accuse a man for no reason— when he has done you no harm. Proverbs 3:29-30 Unit 4
Responsible
Faithfulness
I am loyal and true to those who count on me.
I take care of things that are mine. I don’t take my job lightly. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10 Unit 5
Industriousness I work hard at the task in front of me. I don’t waste time.
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 6: 6-8
Unit 7
I don’t betray confidence.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4 Unit 6
Courageous
I take on challenges even when I might fail. I don’t let fear stop me.
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. Proverbs 29:25 Unit 8
Thriftiness
I am careful with money. I don’t always need to buy expensive things.
Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil. Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred. Proverbs 15:16-17
Unit 9
Wisdom
I make decisions carefully. I don’t rush into anything without thinking.
For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 Unit 10
Perseverance
Self-Control
I don’t quit before the job is done.
I tell myself “no” when necessary.
I work hard to reach my goals. Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you. Proverbs 20:22 Unit 11
I don’t act impulsively.
He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. Proverbs 21:23 Unit 12
Dependability
Leadership
I can be trusted to always get the job done.
I set the example for others in word and deed.
Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5
For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. Proverbs 11:14
I don’t slack off.
I don’t blindly follow.

Initiative
Integrity
I act as soon as I see a need. I don’t need to be told what must be done.
He who scorns instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command is rewarded. Proverbs 13:13 Unit 15
I do what’s right even when no one is looking. I don’t live falsely.
As water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man. Proverbs 27:19 Unit 16
Optimism
Endurance
I push myself to finish what I started.
I don’t look for shortcuts. In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9
I try to find the good in everything.
I don’t dwell on negative thoughts. Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21 Unit 18
Unit 17
Friendliness
Loyalty
I am kind and open toward people. I don’t keep others at a distance.
I defend those who are close to me. I don’t turn my back on my friends.
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24 Unit 19
Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find? Proverbs 20:6 Unit 20
Decisiveness
I make bold decisions without wavering. I don’t try to please everyone. All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23
Diligence
I do my work completely and carefully. I don’t use my time idly.
The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. Proverbs 21:5 Unit 22
Unit 21
Discipline
Service
I submit myself to daily devotion and training.
I give of my time and energy to help others.
The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life. Proverbs 16:17
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. Proverbs 11:24
I don’t live selfishly.
I don’t cheat the process.

Forgiveness
Hopefulness
I believe God guards my future. I don’t fear what tomorrow may bring. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Proverbs 8:10-11

I release all resentment against others. I don’t hold on to grudges.
Do not say, “I’ll do to him as he has done to me. “I’ll pay that man back for what he did.” Proverbs 24:29 Unit 26
Bravery
I trust God to bring me victory. I don’t run or hide from my adversaries
If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength! Proverbs 24:10 Unit 27
Cheerfulness I bring smiles to those around me. I don’t take myself too seriously A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 Unit 28
Honesty
I value the truth and live by it. I don’t lie or play games with the truth.
Unit 29
The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are trustworthy. Proverbs 12:22
Hard-Working I put my full energy into the work I do.
I don’t do any job half-heartedly All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23 Unit 31
Carefulness
I am cautious and attentive to details. I don’t rush into things recklessly.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you Proverbs 2: 10-11 Unit 30
Patience
I am tolerant of others and have the ability to wait. I don’t rush or worry.
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Unit 32 Proverbs 14:6
Visionary
I see the possible when others see the impossible. I don’t dream small.
Fear of the Lord
I show respect for God in all I do. I don’t turn from obeying Him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning. Proverbs 14:6 Unit 33
