Village & Roads hex Tile Maps Expansion pack This pack is both a ‘taster,’ or ‘sampler’ for the Dreamworlds Hex Tile mapping system and an expansion set which builds on the ‘Medieval Maps, Countryside hex tiles’ pack. It uses the same unique mapping system of ‘hexagonal terrain tiles’ to create medieval and fantasy maps. You can arrange the Hex Tiles next to each other to make a new map every time, or lay them randomly as the game progresses. The Hex Tiles are generic and suitable for any fantasy, medieval, historic, role playing, tabletop, wargame or campaign game. This ‘Village and Roads’ expansion set contains twenty full colour Hex Tiles featuring a village, hamlet, roads, farmland, fields and grassland. These can add medieval fantasy or historical interest to your games, and be used on their own or to increase the flexibility of the ‘Countryside Medieval Maps’ pack.

Village & Roads hex tiles Sampler & Expansion pack Introduction: hex tile Maps This expansion pack can be used on its own to create a map of a ‘medieval’ village and the surrounding network of lanes, roads and farms, or as an expansion of the original ‘Countryside’ pack. We found, with play testing, that more roads and road junctions would be useful and so designed this pack to meet that need.
Alternatively, for wargames, it is probably easier to create the whole map at the outset and then position the counters representing your units as appropriate before the campaign begins.
In role playing games, it is recommended that you have only one encounter per hex, even if the players are mounted and therefore moving through two or You can also use this pack as a tester to try out the more hexes per hour. hex tiles mapping system.
