The terminal needs an IP connection and sends a PDP Context Activate Request to the SGSN to start an IP session. The SGSN sends a Create PDP context request to the GGSN. The GGSN authenticates the user by sending a Radius Access Request to IPCG. The IPCG has performed balance check and subscriber has enough balance so IPCG will send Radius Access Accept”. The GGSN sends a Radius “Accounting Request” message to IPCG and MIEP(WAP Proxy Server). The GGSN sends a “Create PDP context response” message to the SGSN. The SGSN sends an “Activate PDP context accept” message to the terminal. IPCG and MIEP sends an “Accounting Response” to the GGSN. Since on the mobile the IP of the WAP Proxy/MIEP is defined. The terminal can start sending requests to MIEP to access any other IP nodes. MIEP forwards the traffic to the Forward interface/network of IPCG. IPCG redirects the traffic out to the Internet to the WAP server via its Reverse interface/network. The WAP server replies back to the IPCG. IPCG redirects the traffic to MIEP via its Forward interface/network. MIEP sends the downloaded or requested content back to the terminal.
